Film rights. I don't think it takes much away though, since Oliver is basically doing everything they intended for Bruce.

If Bruce shows up now, it would be redux.

Probably premiere & Sneeze budget wiped them out.

Was that what that car was? They should have shown more of it.. I miss the old days where they made it a point to show Lex in a different ride every episode.

BTW, what was up with the effects on that episode? I've never seen them that bad before.

They weren't that bad, i've seen worse, and it's nice seeing Clark using all of his powers now since there was some complaining about that.

They're probably saving for the bigger episodes, "Arrow", "Fallout", "Static", & don't forget "Justice", 4 super-powered heroes all at once excluding GA and whoever the villian is.

About the budget:

They actually have a fairly nice budget this year. Nicer than last year in the very least.

I liked the first two episodes very much, this one was worse compared to them, but still Season 6 doesn't disappoint me. I agree that the PZ escapee could have been more inspired, but thank God they didn't name her Pameloa, like someone suggested. No need to affect other DC characters just to save a very forgetable bad guy. But everything else, I liked.
Next week looks glorious, though.
