6.05 Subterranean discussion thread

Honestly, I think that was another victim of the episode moving. If this had aired earlier in the season, it would have made more sense because they weren't officially a couple.

Good point, RakuMon.

Did you notice they cut right to Clark walking through the door, when she said that? They're really not letting that ship die.

No, but now that you mention it. I dont know thiugh, Sue, whether it has to do with not letting the 'ship die so to speak, or whether it was just a case of the ep being out of order. Very early in the season, it did seem remotely possible, with eps like 'Zod', and 'Wither', that Clark/Chloe may be what the writers would build up towards. However post 'Arrow', that direction seems to have really altered, if it ever existed in the first instance.
And now with the upcoming spoilers too, I'm not really seeing any signs for Clark/Chloe. I'm seeing some, in varying degrees and forms for Clark/Lois and Clark/Lana, but not so much Clark/Chloe.
This ep being out of order really showed, therefore. But who knows? Lol. I could be wrong.

But it was kinda boring, IMO. Very slow. I'm not very fond of the Lex/Lana couple thing, so that got a little tedious. And Chloe was sort of annoying with her ''define boyfriend'' comment. Didn't she call Jimmy her ''wayward boyfriend'' in 'Fallout', or was it 'Static?' One of these eps. That irritated me for some reason. Sometimes I get the feeling Chloe is not being entirely honest, re: her relationship with Jimmy. And I'm not sure why that is, but I dont like it. It doesn't speak too well of her to do so, IMO.

Have you read some of the fanatic Chlark comments on SDK's blog? Apparently, the thought is that everything is building up to Chlark finally setting sail, since Jimmy is done after Crimson.

I hate to indulge in the same Hater behavior that drives me crazy in other people, but I honestly don't know what I'll do if they go there. I mean.. WTF?

But Jimmy was cute, had some funny lines. And that last shot of Lex in 33.1 was pretty amazing.

But the trailer! Now that was the real highlight.
Agreed 100%.

Ooohhh... TWOP's Omar is none-too-pleased with this week's Smallville:
Yikes!

Meh. Pretty standard review faire for Omar.
I read it for the laughs.. only.

I'm not sure that he actually likes the show, but it does give him a good outlet for his comedic writing.

Rene, I did read the Chlarker's comments at SD's blog. I was very surprised that they seem so convinced about Chlark being a definite. Are we watching different shows? Lol. And you just know that had Lana or Lois made that inconsistent 'boyfriend' remark, they'd be ripping the characters apart. I didnt comment on any of this in the blog there, I did comment on the ep, but didnt get into this kind of stuff. Even though I wager I'd have some valid points. But who can get into that kind of argument right now? Unless really provoked I guess. Which may just happen at whatever point in the future, who knows. Lol!

ETA: Jimmy is not done after 'Crimson'. So they've got that wrong. I cant remember which site I reaf, but he's apparently atleast in 2 more eps.

what a filler episode..........Justice better make up for 2 EXTREMELY lackluster weeks

I laughed too, I just didn't reply to it.

Kirk would bed her, then destroy her ship before she knew what was going on. :p

LOL! I'm so glad you said that. I almost posted that exact sentiment.

I FULLY admit my shipper bias, but I really try to still keep somewhat of a grip on reality. What I saw was Chloe absolutely GLOWING in the appreciation and love she was getting from Jimmy. And Clark being amused, and probably very happy for her. Until she let Javier get out of her sight.. then I thought he was going to rip her a new one.. Anyone else flashback to Chloe's supposed "watching" of Lana during Reckoning? LOL... Chloe Sullivan - world's worst babysitter. :D

I really thought they were making a point of how Chloe had accepted and was good with her and Clark being just friends now. And I honestly don't see any vibes that are even remotely romantic from Clark to Chloe. Not like the bit we saw in Zod, I did see that, but nothing since.

Whatever.. like you said, it's not worth stirring the angry shippers pot over. I'll be good and shut up. Everyone knows how good I am at that.

(stop laughing, trip!).

I could write a book on the double standards in SV fandom. ;)

Interesting. I really don't keep up with those things. I just ask trip or avid when I need details like that. :D *yayfordetailmindedfriends!*

LOL! I thought the exact same thing. Just as well its not Chloe having the bambino.

more like is it worth getting a virus over? Limewire? sheesh, you couldnt expose your computer to more of a risk if you tried. You're just asking to download fetish porn or something. Use Bittorrent, it's like 100 times faster and you dont have to deal with the pervs

took your advice and used a torrent- they usually take ages- it puts me off

so um was this the first tim ethis aired on thursday?

This episode felt like a sequel to "Tremors", but with the cast of Smallville added in.:(

is was alright - the kid couldn't act though

Anyone can tell me the name of the song at end of the episode and who sings it ?

Well I saw the repeat of Subterranean on sunday with my sister. Man did this episode suck badly .

It wasn't all bad Kal, it had Superman doing what he does best, sticking up for those who can't stick up for themselves.

Yes Clark showed the strong Characteristics that SUPERMAN will embody in the future . And The Ending with Lex walking towards the exit out of Level 33.1 as well as a brand new shot of Metropolis and The Daily Planet in the daytime was the only good stuff featured in this bad episode.

Other than that it sucked big time.

1. Bad Krypto-freak [A farmer moleman], The effect were awful

2. Bad actor [The Kid was awful] named Javier

3. The Whole Lana & Clark scene [Freaking pointless]

4. Jimmy [ Damnit I want to see the real Superman's pal Jimmy Olsen And The Jimmy Olsen who looks up to Clark Kent as a mentor, not this guy called Jimmy.]

5. Chloe [She becoming very annoying again.]

6. Martha Kent [her first reaction to finding out Clark had hid the illegal boy on the farm and was ready to turn him in to the police. WTF How many times has Martha had starys hidding on the kent farm and not report them in and suddendly out of no where she wanted to turn this boy in.] Whoever wrote that should be shot. Because that was way out of Character for Martha Kent .

7. No Lionel

8. No Lois

9. No Oliver

This episode sucked .

As it stands now the best episode of the first half of the season is

1. Fallout :super:

2. Arrow

3. Zod

4. Reunion

5. Rage

6. Sneeze

7. wither

8. Static

9. Subterranean

The Young Justice preview didn't impress me like it did my Sister .

The Justice trailer impressed me and my wife. She squealed when she saw it and wishes that January would hurry and get here. She doesn't look that forward to an episode of a show often.

But she thought them walking away from the explosion was awsome.

I have never loved her more. ;)

Sorry But Based on the look of the teaser , IMO This looks like it's going to be more of a rip-off very chessy episode than a super awesome episode .

I hope to God i'm wrong [But just like I wasn't impressed by the trailer for Subterranean & Static ] And it turned out both of them were crap. I'm getting that same feeling for "Justice" . Like I said I hope I'm wrong I really do.

But as it stands now based on the trailer it doesn't look like it's going to be as good as everyone had hoped it would be .

you saw all together about 12 seconds of the episode in that teaser.

Static and Subterranean had full teasers dedicated to each episode, wait until you've atleast seen the Justice trailer after Hydro before you tell us its going to "suck"
