Bah it's just all the little, chubby, underdog chloe fans who are trying to shoehorn her character into some kind of relevance in the mythos because she's the only young cast member who has no significance in the mythology and they can't comprehend that in the end she's pretty much irrelevant once the show is over.

It's like comprehending your own mortality and how most people will grasp for straws when faced with it. I mean how many more glaringly obvious signs to the contrary do they want? BOTH Al and Miles have said "no," LOIS LANE IS ON THE SHOW, Chloe grew up with Clark, and now knows his secret, etc. Somehow I think if we saw Chloe shot, chopped into pieces, scraped up and thrown in an incinerator, and then her ashes shot off into the sun, these dopes would still be hawking this ridiculous theory somehow.....

Was that too harsh? :o

I tried to post in that popwatch article a comment on the "Chlois" theory and why I think it's idiotic and, I believe, disrespectful to Chloe. It didn't show up though. :(

Oh well. I honestly think the Chlois theory is primarily borne from frustrated Chlark fans looking for a way to shoehorn him into loving her romantically.

Chloe is an awesome best friend and confidante to Clark - she's really taken the place of Pete in that way. But he's always loved Lana.. and now he's going to eventually love Lois. To kill off Lois just to hook him up with Chloe is pathetic at best.

Hee! Maybe I should start a Lanis theory.. Lana will become Lois. Omg.. can you imagine the fan hysteria that would cause? LOL! Don't worry.. I'm SO j/k. See, I love Lana as her own character and wouldn't ever want her to take Lois' place. That's my point.

Dont worry Rene, I tried to start a Chluperman theory once. It also didnt get off the ground.

it's gotta be the first official blondes theory - for "blondes" by "blondes"..

I think you could buy into a Chlana theory more than a Chlois theory.

Do you want them to chawp me up and feed me to the pooah?! Is that what you want?!!

:oldrazz:

There is alot of negativity on those comments.

It's silly, that's why I don't like the K-Boards. Too much negativity and Chlois thingies. If you disagree with Chlois there, they chase you out.

Crazy silly people. :o :down

Are there any Chloe/Jimmy 'shippers yet? Or do they just not want to be referred to as Chlimmy's? :D

Right on Hulk. The Chlois theory is a load of bull just like The Jor-EL = Zod theory that's been going on since Season 2 till "Solitude" in season 5. and official ended in The Season 6 Premiere "Zod".

The Death Of Chloe will be the end of this bull**** theory .

LMAO!!

Y'know Hulk, I'm in agreement with folks here: it is the DUMBEST theory ever, but only because we now HAVE Lois on the show. Prior to that, it did make sense, so I can understand why so many people cling to a soon-to-be-popped bubble. I also think all of the comic fans should realize that there's a LOT of people out there that don't know that much about the big picture and merely enjoy the show as it's presented.

As inconceivable as that might be to *us*, there's many people that are ignorant of the mythology. They wouldn't know a comic book from a Dead Sea Scroll, they never watched L&C or any of the other Superman TV shows (possibly because of the "silly" tights thang LOL), and they had no interest in the films either - again, maybe for similar "silly" reasons. They simply don't fit the stereotypical profile you described above.

So who are these people? Well, they're general fans of the show's characters, not so much the character's mythology. These are people that hope Clark and Lana will get back together again because that's what usually happens in these types of stories. There's also those that think Chloe and Clark will eventually find each other because that sort of thing happens a lot in romantic fiction as well. Then there are fans who prefer Midsummer Night's Dream tales. Star-crossed lovers don't find out they're actually soul mates till the very end of the story, which of course is what we'll eventually see with Clark and Lois. But if you approach the show with no preconceived notions or knowledge of who "should" end up with whom, Lois is possibly the LAST person you'd expect.

If you accept the notion that many 'shippers wouldn't know an "anvil" if it hit them on the head, is it any wonder why so many viewers cling to their favorite partnerships, particularly the ones that relate directly back to the hero of the story? ;)

That said... there's a LOT of people out there who SHOULD know better, but cling anyway. LOLOLOL :p

Even before Lois first appearence in the series in Season 4 Premiere "Crusade", Chloe was protrayed more like Comic book Lana lang with a little bit of Lois & Lori in her Character. Than a full blown Lois Lane until "Delete" Season 3.

When The damn Chlois theory was born, Even then I still didn't believe the Bull**** theory .

I agree to an extent but the thing is people who get into the show SHOULD know better. Any time you come in to something that's tanamount to a prequel to another well known story, you should at least know what you're getting into. If not, you really have no right to complain and you'll miss out on most of the foreshadowing and homages which is a big part of the "fun." What these dopes do is like getting pissed off at the end of Episode III when Anakin becomes Vader...welll duh?!?! You knew it going in, so why get upsetwhen the events that will lead to the predetermined outcome begin to take shape?

Those sites like K-Site, DTS, "Chlois.org", and even DeKnight's myspace page are virtually unreadable because they're dominated by morons whose perspectives of what's "good" on the show is so skewed out of whack, they're a joke. You could give Clark part of Bruce Waynes origin and you'd hear nary a peep from them, but god help us all if Clark flirts with the girl they're not a fan of...... It's sad really. Thankfully the show isnt aimed at them and their opinions on those subjects are ignored.

Just call me the submarine, I destroy all "ships." ;)

HAHAHAHA!! Yup. Hey, I agree with ya. But I do often wonder how representative the dumbarse on-liners are to the non-I-Net savvy GP. The reason I mention it is because of a friend of mine from NY. I think I told you guys the story. His name is Paul and he just recently turned 60. He's a big fan of the show. Originally from Belgium, he speaks like four languages including English and knows practically ZILCH about Superman - other than the cape and tights and the super-strong-bullets-bounce-off-him and flying thang LOL! He does KNOW that Clark is Superman. In fact, he refers to Clark as "Superman."

tongue.gif
(To those who know who you are LOL)

Now, while Paul "gets" it, his favorite character on the show is Lana.
but.gif
he always presumed Clark would end up with Chloe. Why? Cause he just assumed Chloe WAS Lois. Not that she'd become Lois, but that she WAS Lois. Y'see, to the non Superman fan like Paul, names aren't important. It's the actions of the characters that determine what the fans assume will eventually happen. When I explained to Paul that Clark ends up with *that* chick [pointing to Erica Durance], he found it hard to believe. He actually argued with me a little on the issue. Kinda funny.

Anyhoo, there ya have it. I kid you not.

I know you're trying to play the Devil's Advocate but really how many people can there be that don't know that Lois and Clark end up together?

The majprity of people who believe Chloie is Lois do

wow I actually thought that this was the episode discussion then it leads up talking about Chloe and Lois, wow! But it was an okay episode in my books, I just found the plant lady a rip off from Batmans Poison Ivy!

In the latest Smallville Magazine, Gough & Millar talk about how they have wanted to do a Poison Ivy type of character since season 1, but were unable to implement it into one of their episodes until this season.

Well, that explains a lot. If only they could have made her not dying like a punk, it would have worked better.

the way she died was just freakin wierd. I thought he would of lite her on fire with his eyes, lol.

But they already told us that the solution to killing her was by electricity, so there was really little point for him to just blast her with his eyes. It wouldnt have worked.

Clark should have froze her with his breath and stored her in the fortress.:word:

He doesnt have the ability to do freeze breath.

Plus, wouldn't it be a little sick to keep her in the FoS? Except if you meant to keep her in order to find a way to send her back to the PZ.

I know, but I want to see him use it.:csad:

It would be like the start to his very own little wax/ice museum. Batman has a giant penny, Superman can have frozen Phantom Zone criminals.:cwink:
