It's no wonder Duncan jumped off the roof. :csad:

If you have seen some of the grittier shows out there, that beating is not that bad for prime time tv. I mean look at heroes last week, we had Claire cut open on an autopsy table.

I wonder how he jumps off the roof, if he gets hit by a car to the point where he's in a coma.

Or maybe the roof jumping happens much later on.

Damn....that beating was just.......damn, I feel sorry for that Duncan kid.

Yikes!

This looks really intense. Fortunately, I like intense. :)

and now he's going to attacked by the window lickers

You know, for this being the next episode, we should talk about it more. hehe. :O

I'm not sure how much I'm keen to see this episode.

It looks like its going to go back and forth between Ollie telling the story to Lois and Clark and Lex having nightmares about past events.

I'm so over Lex and his woobie past.

Yeah, true... I think Michael has created the best Lex Luthor, but enough already...

How sorry are we supposed to feel for him even though he's turning evil?

How many Lex centric eps in a row are we supposed to have?

Oh, I'm really excited to see it. But I tend to love flashback-y types of stories in general. I know the show is All About Clark, but I'm hoping that they have some Very Clever Way to make him an integral part of the episode as well. If they can't work him into the story, then I'll settle for an extended shower scene.

What?
*adjusts halo*

LOL! :woot:

I like flashback episodes too, but I would rather be flashing back to Clark's past. I've seen enough of Lex's.

I know he was a POOR kid that got picked on cause he didnt have any hair.

But as you say, if they can work Clark and even Lois into this story in an interesting way then I might find it a little more enjoyable.

avid is "woobie" aussie speak?

I dont believe so. Although, you might get better confirmation on that from a non-aussie. :cwink:

I'm not sure you used the term the way an American would...

From how I understand the word, a woobie is a pet term for a precious object.

The word was used famously in the Michael Keaton film, "Mr. Mom." His son's "woobie" was a blanket that he wouldn't go anywhere without, causing some conflict since he was starting kindergarten.

The famous bit from it:

Jack Butler said:
I understand that you little guys start out with your woobies and you think they're great... and they are, they are terrific. But pretty soon, a woobie isn't enough. You're out on the street trying to score an electric blanket, or maybe a quilt. And the next thing you know, you're strung out on bedspreads, Ken. That's serious.

:D

I don't know what "Woobie" is, but I do know what "Woopie" is.:woot: :cwink:

See, when a man and woman fall in love they.....oh wait.....that's about as far as I can go without getting into trouble. :O

2. in fandom and fanfiction circles,
“A character, usually male and good-looking, who is constantly be in a state of woe, misery, or sheer unlucky suckitude to a degree that fans want to figuratively scoop him up and cuddle him. This causes friction when fans of normally “unwoobie” characters (ie. Lucius Malfoy) go wildly out of the canon way to concoct ways to make him/her a woobie and thus deserving of much mooshy sympathy.” from http://www.subreality.com /glossary/terms.htm#W

^Yup. Avid nailed it.
I recently read some stuff referring to Logan from Veronica Mars as a Woobie too. Lex is a major Woobie though. :D

The director's cut is up. Viewer's discretion though, Lex gets punch happy.

LOL the beating was pretty brutal but him geting hit by the car was pure comedy gold :D I mean that kid walked out in the street like 3 minutes before the car hit him. That looked like something out of a Leslie Neilson movie :D

LOL! You know, I think they extended that a bit, or I just didn't let it run all the way when I first watched it. I didn't see the car hit him before.

Ya think someone could have maybe..oh, I dunno.. HELPED the kid?? LOL! They're all standing around looking at him laying in the road!
