Well, the twist is that
he's working as a mole for the LOS.
That's another rumor, that came from solid sources.

Yeah, I believe Devin Faraci reported that way, way back. While Devin was right about the involvement of the LOS, I'm not so sure about this Blake business. Everything we have learned since seems to suggest otherwise... Of, course what do we really know?!?!? I won't even believe his name until a character uses it in dialogue!

I think that was rumored way back from the Philly shoot. I'm not sure if it was based on a photo or what... It would be really funny if the event were staged to misdirect on-set ninjas.

I wondered about that when I read the report from the set. Something about it just didn't sound right, especially with the information that has come to light since then regarding Blake. IF he really is a character who's arc is his coming to understand what it is to be a Gothamite and what Gotham means to him, having him [BLACKOUT]get shot in the head Departed-style[/BLACKOUT] makes no sense whatsoever.

True, but the way he marks that wall and the way Sunjata looks at him, he seems like a very suspicious character. This was a scene filmed in Pittsburgh. If you ask me, I think the true hero figure in the police department will turn out to be Sunjata and Levitt's character will turn out to be corrupt.

Again, I don't think this will be the case. But that would certainly be interesting!

I'm with you on this one! Even the pics of JGL sneaking around like Obi-Wan on the Death Star don't suggest anything sinister to me... He may be taking vigilante-like measures on his own in a Bane-controlled Gotham. You know, like, um, Robin.

I'm fairly certain at this point that JGL is a good guy, and nothing more. I guess that's the twist, that there is no twist.

I certainly hope so. I prefer a great story that one that revolves exclusively on twists.

I agree. Besides, none of the insiders have said anything about him being an imposter. In fact, they have said quite the contrary: that he's just a good guy. And I'm glad about that. :yay:

About this torch passing thing... I don't think it will be to any character in particular. This torch passing thing will be most likely symbolic and possibly involves Gotham's own citizens and police force taking back their own city. Thus possibly these huge riot scenes in NY. The torch is most likely passed on to Gothamites themselves, who no longer need Batman to "shake them out of apathy" and protect their own city against evil.

None at all. You can't pass the torch to a corpse.

LOL Maybe Bruce passes the torch to him before he [BLACKOUT]dies/retires[/BLACKOUT] and then in the next scene... he was killed! :funny:

Here is a list of all the IMAX theaters in the US.

Here is a list of the codes they use to differentiate Digital vs. 70mm:

Some part of me still thinks that the prologue will be the football scene. I really think it will. Either that or the war scene they were filming by the hangars.

I'd love for it to be the football stadium scene. It probably won't be but I can hope.

I think it will be. Nolan said the prologue introduces us to Bane. That doesn't necessarily mean it will be an origin scene. Just a scene that introduces us to Bane.

Just imagine the camera flying over Gotham city. It heads closer and closer to the stadium. As it gets closer we hear the sounds of fans cheering. Then it cuts to the field. The ball is hiked, and as the drive is going we cut to shots of fans cheering.

Then BAM the entire stadium erupts. The whole field is decimated. People run in panic screaming and crying. Then Bane comes out like a boss and makes his speech. Would make one hell of an opening scene.

An opening scene like that obviously wouldn't adhere to the typical classical hollywood storytelling, but Nolan was never one to follow that. His films have always been audacious and unique when it came to the story structure.

It's either the football scene or like I said the war scene the were filming by the hangars. I think the war scene and the stuff shot in india are connected.

FYI. I'm not saying it can't be, but it just felt like Bane was somewhat established at that point

Good point. Those characters would have to have been already established for that kill scene to have an impact on the audience. Of course the football scene could be split. The first half of it where the stadium erupts and Bane comes in could be in the prologue, but stops before Bane kills the scientist.(obviously this means the film would be somewhat non linear).

Then after the prologue the film goes back a couple of days, or week, or what ever, to the start of the present story line. Then it builds its way back to the football scene starting off where we left, finishing with him killing scientist, whom we would know at this point, because in between the first half the football scene and the second half, that character would be establish.

But that sounds too overcomplicated, so yeah probably not going to be it.

Oh who knows, maybe the scientist does die in the prologue and Nolan just rolls like that. lulz
