Because there are fans of the show that still enjoy watching it.

Plus I know it's a shocker, there are fans of Superman that enjoy the elseworlds tale that is called Smallville. Saying they piss on the legacy is an opinion, not fact.

Oh, and I can name other forms of media that were not so great for the character (not to mention the abomination that is Donner's run in the comics.)

I didn't say it was out of character. It was just a poorly written story, not to mention the continuity snafus he created both by destroying things from the past, plus told half the story, took half a year off, and then came back to finish the story.

Ultimately the story made no sense to the rest of the DC universe at the time.

Plus he wrote Bizarro incorrectly on several occasions through the story, and the character of the child was arbitrary.

Okay, I need some help for my review:

When did that list of rules first show up? I tried to think and went back to look at a few earlier episodes this season, but I couldn't find it...

Anyone know?

He said it was memento from his first day, but I went back and watched parts of Plastique and couldn't find the scene...

They never actually showed Lois writing down a list of rules for Clark but she did mention one here and there during Plastique. I'm gussing it started in that episode and Lois wrote them down off screen and gave it to Clark.

Thanks!

No wonder I couldn't find the scene!

Sure thing Trip. We were actually discussing this in the Erica Durance thread. Kal-El even posted a pic of the list in that thread.

She's not really my type, as you might suspect.

Yeah, I know it's SOP, but she's pretty enough I wouldn't think it would need to be so blatant.

Photo shop on pictures is no different then makup in real life. :)

Call it digital make up.

Didn't she give Clark a note pad and tell him to take notes? I thought that was where the "list" came from. They were Clark's notes from that day.

I can't wait for this season to be on DVD. I want to watch it over again. (Well skipping the last two Lana episodes anyway.)

Actually, with this one, I just had to go take a look and see and guess what? They still found a squillion things within the episode that proves the Chlois theory.
:whatever:

squillion: my favorite new word. Sounds numerous and squirmy, like snakes, all at once.
Indiana Jones: "Ugh - there must be a squillion snakes down here!"

Did you make it up or hear it somewhere, Avid?

Hmmm..... I thought squillion was a common term that was bigger than millions but not quite infinite. Maybe its only on this side of the Pacific. :woot: Either way I'm glad you like it. :)

I had to laugh at this one theory though
apparently Lois is the one going to die in the season finale, and then Chloe will step into her shoes (they're too big for you Chloe) and be back at the Daily Planet and assume the name of Lois Lane because for some really out there reason she cant go by her own name. And apparently there have been lots of hints all season that Lois will be dying.
:wow:

those type of theories really piss me off.

Don't think I've ever heard it. I use "zillions" for that. Have also heard "gazillions," "jillions," "gajillions," "bajillions," "bazillions," and a few others.

A few kids sometimes say "googol" or "googolplex" for that concept, but not many of them.

Lol the Lois death anvils, I saw the list and it was funny as hell. They have stuff like Lois being put into a hearst, tess telling Lois she is giving her enough rope to hang herself with as somehow proof Chlois is going to happen.

One thing I love about the Chlois theory is all the wacky sub theories they come up with. As for Chloe going back to the Daily Planet they beleive the show has shown us since Lex took over that the DP is corrupted and needs redeeming and a girl who spent the better part of 2 1/2 years in the basement is the only person who can take on that task.

Haha, crazy Chloisers.

I'm sort of hoping Chloe bites it soon just to see the mass hysteria.

I've never heard of squillions, but a googolplex is a really huge number, far bigger than a trillion.

According to Wiki:

A googolplex is the number 10 to the 10th power and that number to the 100th power, or 10googol

History:

In 1938, Edward Kasner's nine-year-old nephew Milton Sirotta coined the term googol; Milton then proposed the further term googolplex to be "one, followed by writing zeroes until you get tired". Kasner decided to adopt a more formal definition "because different people get tired at different times and it would never do to have [the boxer champion] Carnera be a better mathematician than Dr. Einstein, simply because he had more endurance".
