9/11 Remembrance and Thoughts

I was getting up for school. It was all over the news. I thought it was a joke.

I got to school, and it was all EVERY one of my teachers could talk about. I still thought it was a joke. I actually bought Slayer's new album that day -- "God Hates Us All."

Salyer said the reason for the title was because of all the bad things that happen in the world, God must really hate us all.

The irony was quashing.

It didn't REALLY hit me until a few days had passed. It took some time to sink in, but once it did, I couldn't believe what had happened. I still can't believe it.

My heart goes out to NYC and everyone lost in that event.

I was going into my Sociology class and looked at the TV right as the second plane hit the building.

I was in school. Someone said a plane hit one of the Twin Towers. Everyone gathered to watch the news and then the second tower was hit on live TV. I thought it was doomsday. I was scared as heck.

I was going into Glastonberry for annual errends.I did not hear about it,until reports came in on the radio, that the United States of America had been hit in 3 states.Personally,i thought it was some kind of joke.Later on,there was a small crowd listening for more information, people were saying that America had been brought to its knees..

I was with my mother.
I was on the computer and then I heard my mother crying from the other room.
I went over and sat her holding her legs close to her body and crying.
I watched the news and didn't say anything. I went back to the computer room, turned on the TV... I was trying to make it go away. I turned it to my favorite channel cause my favorite show was supposed to be on....
nope
it wasn't on
but the news was.... :(

I was in Art class in 7th grade. Literally, hundreds of kids got picked home in like 15 minutes. I was like wtf is going on? When I got home, I saw it all over the news & was in shock basically. Soooooo sad.:(

I was at my primary school when this happened. My mum picked me up and told me what had happened. We put on the radio fro the car journey home. WHen we got home we put on the tv and we were really shocked to see what we saw on the tv. I will never forget that day.

I was home. All I though was the world has changed. And not for the better.

I remember getting up in the mourning, didnt pay much attention too it because I thought it was a movie:o When It finally hit me it was real I was in shock! When I went to work at Shell at gas station I went across the street where Chevron was there because of a couple of Arabs was there, I asked them did you see what happen on the news? They just ignormed me. Went back to work and Shell told my Manager about it and she said damn there getting serious. The rest of my shift none of the customers were talking about it.

My heart also goes out to the families of the victims. I hope and pray that nothing like this will ever happen again.

You're an incredibly insensitive and stupid excuse for a human.

My thoughts go out to the people who lost their lives that day and my condolences to the victims families.

My condolences go out to the families of victims.

A sad day that was.

I am all for rememberance and honoring the dead and what not, 9/11 has become another media frenzy. 3 new movies on the subject, and as the anniversery draws closer it's all I see on TV. I may be alone here, but seeing those images once in my life was enough for me.

Condolences to the families who were affected. :csad:

What's pretty sad is that there are white supremacists that want to use the day as a sort of "white pride" day.
They really are dim.

No doubt the images are difficult; but if we forget, we are doomed to repeat.

It's hard to believe it's been 5 years already.

Its..hard,but its good that some think realistically.Especially with people wanting to forget.

Its only natural that people would want to forget such a event, there was so much pain and loss. But it will eventually pass,in time like all things...
