Ugh, that's just disturbing. My cousin worked for Cantor Fitzgerald. He lived, but he lost half his wedding party. He was lucky because his wife (then fiancee) talked him out of going to work that day.

Glad to hear that he lived, I was just trying to make a point. I'll remove his picture.

HOLY CRAP! Tomorrow is September 11th and I didn't even realize!

He was going to go fishing, but he felt the weather wasn't nice enough. He was going to go to work (he worked on I believe the 103rd or 105th floor of the first tower), but his wife (then fiancee) convinced him to go golfing instead. I actually spent the night at his house that day because I went to school in the city and there was no way for me and my uncle (who worked in the 4th building of The World Trade Center) to get back to Staten Island.

I'm not going to watch TV tommrow at all. I don't think I can handle watching that footage, anyone feel the same way? :(

My thoughts are with the victims and their families. May we never forget!

What bothers me is I hear that this "9/11 Truth" movement will be at Ground Zero trying to rally people to their cause. The whole Bush was behind 9/11 thing. Really guys, I find it in poor taste.

Now I dislike Bush as much as the next person, but in no way is he smart enough to have masterminded 9/11.

I got to work just as the second plane hit, which I saw live on TV as it happened. I went to my desk and just started refreshing CNN.com every ten minutes until our dept. manager said we could all go home shortly after the towers collapsed.

I made a few posts here, but the original reaction thread from that day has been deleted I think.

I was in Omaha, NE on business; woke up just in time to see the second plane hit. We left to go home shortly after the news, but took us two hours to get out of Omaha because the flew the President into Omaha while they were bouncing Airforce One from Airforce Base to Airforce Base. That and gas went up like a dollar a gallon right afterwards; so the whole city was getting gas before it went any higher, which it did. That made a horrible day for everybody worse; taking advantage of peoples fear to make a buck. However most of the gas stations that did this paid some severe fines, so it caught up to them.

Never Forget.

I don't plan on it,but it may happen. I'll get caught up in it and I'll be a weeping mess.
I had a hard time keeping it together seeing all those people looking for their family members, knowing they'll never see them again. :csad: Hearing all those stories. :csad:

Same here.
I'm working on a new ATF building in DC,I wonder if they'll tighten up on security around the building.
I'm sure they will.

I agree.

Even though I have yet to fine a single piece of evidence that supports a conspiracy theory in the first place - I have no problem with people questioning the "official" explination of 9.11, but to hold an open rally that not only states that the loved ones lost did so in a lie, but to blame the active U.S. President is irresponsible.

Well tons of families of people lost on that day will be there rallying as well. So I guess they're irresponsible and are in bad taste as well?
