Atheism is a lack of religion and any religious views. Anyone who says otherwise is wrong.cass said:According to some atheists, you are.
They've found several missing links. Several of them have even been posted here at the Hype.celldog said:And considering that they have never found the "Missing Link" .....that transitional form from one species to another, this is an option worth exploring.
Oddly enough the trinity is abscent from the Bible itself. In fact it was created from my understand some few hundred years after. However it is quiet clear that Christians/Jewish peoples of the day when the Bible was written that they indeed did believe their God was not the only God. "You shall have no Gods before me" and "Thou shalt not carve idols" is a definite reference to the fact that there were, as they believed, other Gods.Bill said:8- You laugh at polytheists, but you have no problem believing in a Trinity god

bored said:Atheism isn't a belief system, unless you want to be very technical about it, it's a generic term for a lack of belief in a supernatural deity. And people identify with it if they have trouble having the kind of faith you claim to.

celldog said:You "believe" that there is no God. You've never seen a God to be able to say that. thus it takes a certain amount of faith.
The Christian, though he has not seen God either, takes the evidence of the order and balance of creation and has faith in the evidence that exists.
Both take faith.
I submit that it takes more faith to be an atheist than to be a Christian.

faith as defined in the Bible is not credulity. it is based on accurate knowledge of God and His Son, Jesus.
1 Tim 2:3,4 says "This is fine and acceptable in the sight of our Savior, God, whose will is that all sorts of men should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth."
it is a study of the Bible that brings us to that truth and is the basis of a Christian's faith.
