A day without mexicans!!!!

Okay, I just had a long discussion about this with some friends and I now have more to say. I'm sure some of this has been said before but I'm saying it anyway. Illegal immigrants are breaking the law, yes. Would I prefer they go about it the legal way, yes. Is it that easy for them, probably not. I hear that, at least to become a citizen and potentially this applies to becoming a legal resident too, is that Cubans have it much easier than Mexicans because they can claim political asylum from a communist country. The same can be said of places like El Salvador because of the wars in that region. But ordinary Mexicans have it bad too because of the nature of thier economy. It caters to the super rich in the country. There is no middle class in mexico. Or at least there's a very small one. It's rich or poor. And even though there's all these poor people the cost of living is higher than it is in the United States so I'm told. So basically, this problem has a lot to do with the countries these people are emmigrating from. But that's not the only problem. These people will come here and works jobs Americans will not do. Even homeless people won't do them. When was the last time you saw a hispanic person panhandling? I don't think I've ever seen one. So you cannot say that these immigrants are taking our jobs. They make up a low rung, but important rung of our economy. And our country was founded by immigrants. Even the so-called Native Americans are immigrants from Asia. And these so-called patriotic people who are for a wall or whatever should take a good look at the supposed principles of this nation. Who are we to squash the American dream? People are coming here to make a better live for themselves and thier families. Hell, If I lived under an economy like Mexico's, I'd probably do the same. We should be putting pressure on Mexico to deal with thier poverty issue. And I'm not saying we should just open the borders completely and let people come and go, but I don't think we should kick out people who are already here.

You fail to see the problem with Illegal Immigration however, it is not the poor mexicans coming over to have a better life - but the fact that WE DONT KNOW who is coming over.

There are some cases where people from other countries pay for people to take some immigrants into this country illegally - this normally cost hundred of thosands to millions of dollars. Who pays millions of dollars for someone to cross the border, just so they can go pick fruit in America - it does not happen.

We must close the border, it is an open wound in America in which the scum of the Earth can enter out country - the terrorists, the drug dealers, etc. Sadly it will prevent people looking for a better life from getting into this country in some cases, but it is the American Governments job to look over ITS people first. We should increase the number of people we legally allow into America - and hopefully help Mexicans looking for a better life.

Funny, I dont know anyone who hires Illegal Immigrants for such purposes. Are there people who do take advantages of illegal immigrants? Sure. However it is by no means MOST White People.

You know what.. there is no positive side on this issue.. is one of those lose-lose ones that you'll just try to see which one will hurt you less

but I still think that USA will not close the borders.. simply because the regular folks have no say on this matter and the higher up, economically powerful elites will dictate the future of immigrants... sorry bub, it's da truth

Sorry, but we have to worry about protecting ourselves - it doesn't matter what Mexico thinks truthfully. If the Mexican government would actually try to stop illegal immigration into the US - instead of aiding it - maybe such drastic measures would not be necessary.
