A day without mexicans!!!!

I am not talking about closing the borders to legal immigration - only illegal immigration. This would require litterally closing the border - with a wall - a big ol'wall too. Think China - but only Americanized.

LOL, no, think "east germany".......

WHy build a wall, build the wall but have a moat with alligators in it on each side.

Yes, about a year ago (if memory serves) the Mexican government gave out pamplets talking about how to cross over the border safely. The Mexican government refuses to do anything to stop the problem - which is aiding it by inaction.

I do not believe that terrorists have been detained crossing the border, but there are evidence of islmic people crossing over the border (prayer rugs, Corans, etc.) I am not anti-islam, but common sense tells me this is not a good thing. To have people we know nothing about crossing the border freely is simply not a good thing.

LOL, the pamphlets where meant to lessen the chamce of those intent of crossing, diying in the process. that's number one, the Mexican government has it's equivalent of the border patrol, it goes around looking for coyotes and actually stops illegal immigrants sometimes and tries to convince them to stay, and in Tijuana , the police arrests people that it sees hanging around the border wall, ah! it's so comforting to know I speak truth and not only recite things i have heard.

as far as terrorists, I have said this too many times really, the 9-11 attackers where legal immigrants on watch lists.
there is no merit to that, since there are no plans to close the canadian border, if terrorists wanted to go to the US they would cross from there.

Mexicans are North Americans - not Americans. We are cooler.

Yes, America would be fine with out illegal immigrants. Infact better.

I like just about everybody on this board, I respect the hell out of Darthphere and KingofDreams - even though I do not agree with them most of the time, they present their arguments in a respecful manner. Mr. Sparkle is one of the few I detest, however I did try to give him a chance.

LOL, why did you have to mention me twice in your arguments after i left?
:)

P.S. you're "baiting" me, Daisy will HAVE YOUR HEAD!!!!!!!

I believe so, but I'd like to hear your viewpoint

I don't speak for Cor.
People care for their families.
people want better lives for their families, and try as they might they can't get it in Mexico (we know from the 97% employment they are more than willing to work)
they CAN'T go to the US legally, they don't have the money, or the time, it's not even a waiting period, in fact, the poor get flat out truned down with no chance of immigration ever, these aren't people "beating the system"
i won't compare it to the native american/england thing, it's not the same.
it's difficult for middle and upper middle class people in the US to garsp this, they have never been desperate, truly desperate for money for their families.
and honestly, and for the last time as I saw mention of it again for some reason.
the protests where mainly US citizens with some illegal immigrants, but mainly US citizens, that's why they said they would VOTE
this is not about benefits, it's about making illgeal immigration a felony, with random checks on the street. do you see why the legal immigrants and citizens would be against this? soon it will be okay for racial profiling for people of arab descent, and people that look "mexican".
that's the issue, basic human rights. not benefits.

We should just get rid of all the borders. Lets just make this whole world one nation. We have to join forces with other countries mankind had to unite to prepare for whats to occur in the year 2012.

whilst I have no idea of 2012, no really, I don't know about the singularity, a united humanity would be good.

While good in principle, I don't think it'll work.

That's mostly what the mentality of the immigrants.

And just so you know.. the immigrants are a minority in Mexico. Sometimes some posters seem to think that almost all Mexicans want to go to the states.

When I came to the Hype several years ago....I was new to computers and the internet.....my biggest surprise back then was how many people from different countries from around the world were on here and that I got to talk to them.

My biggest surprise these days is that even with all of that diversity present here....how little anyone still understands people from different countries.

Still, with a rising middle class and the fact that China is becoming bone dry, it's still not assured that it will become the world's largest economy.
*shrug* Maybe, maybe not. But if it does Go....wait I don't want to offend anyone ( ;) ) .....something help us all :D

I will sum everything up in 1 statement:

Either you're for the immigrants, or racists towards Mexican.

Which is it? Choose. It's one or the other.

I don't really believe it's that simple.

What's wrong with taking a leaf out of the Mexican Constitution?

Uhm... every country deports illegals. US does, France does. In Mexico, however, is harder to get cought

And I didn't know that I had the right to perform a citizens arrest. I thought that the South of USA invented that:confused:

There are and should not be second class citizens. Hell, some Football players are naturalized and are held in high regard.

You can't run for any office if you are not born in the United Mexican States. That's a most. Arnold can't(thank god) run for office also...
