A Green Halloween (Toxin's Art Thread)

Well I know my art isn't typically well-received but I'm really working hard on improving, so here's the thread I'll post in from now on instead of spamming topics.

Yes, I like Ultimate Green Goblin, deal with it. The pumpkins came to mind when I realized that the guy doesn't have pumpkin bombs. :-( The original idea was to have the picture be very dark except for the eyes of the Goblin and the pumpkins and the stars, but the stars got messed up and I got lazy with the background.

This next one was inspired by the song "I So Hate Consequences" by Relient K. It started off as me and then I ended up changing it to Peter Parker.

Yeah, I realized the anatomy was way bad. I know the Green Goblin's hands are naturally larger proportionally than a regular human's would be, but regardless, I over-did that. I'd be lying if I said I didn't regret leaving it.

That's the most positive comment I've had in a while. Thank you! Well, I hope that as I go, the anatomy issues diminish. I need to invest in a bigger mirror, the one I have has been good for facial expressions (sort of) but I find mirrors help for anatomy big time.

I was referring to this. Haha, and how the coloring is like a 5 year old's. So don't feel too bad, I'm sure it wouldn't take much to be better than me.

Thanks a lot! Quite a lot of symbiote fans on the board, actually. Most of them are idiots, unfortunately lol. (Might include me, who knows.) Actually, back when I was really into them, I wanted to do a Venom comic. I did it in class for an art project, they had me change the dialogue, which sucks almost as the coloring. (It's wicked old.)

Holy cow! I didn't think anyone would remember that. :-D I'm surprised, that's actually encouraging. I had put that on hiatus because I kept stumbling on a few story points, but my art has improved a LOT since then (pretty evident by this thread, although I'm not THAT great yet) and if I resume it, I think I could do it justice.

Finally! Someone else who likes Ultimate Green Goblin! I have to find my Ultimate Goblin Appreciation thread sometime from the Spidey World forum.

Nice art!

What I don't like:

The sky (too scribbled, needs to be more solid)

Stars (they look to much like you drew them. Make them more circled. And stars are usually not yellow)

Goblin's hand is too large.

The whole moon effect just doesn't look right.

Work on that kinda' stuff in the future and you're good.


I know you have colored pencils, (that right?) and I used to use them too. I know they can be hard to color with sometimes and I don't like them anymore. I hate crayons and art too. But you did a great job with using the colored pencils on Goblin and giving it different tones of color and not just one solid green and purple.

You have talent. Keep going. How old are you?
