(WARNING SPOILER!)

At the very end of the movie, Hector Barbossa shows up, saying "Well. What happened to my ship?"

But wasn't Barbossa killed at he end of the previous movie?

If I remember correctly, Will Turner put all of the Aztec coins in the chest and slashed his hand, repaying the blood and breaking the curse.

And in that exact moment, Barbossa was shot in the heart, and he died.

So, how can he show at all after that?

There are three posibilities, each one ridden with plot holes:

1-Barbossa didn't survive, and was brought back from the dead by Tia Dalma.

If that is the case, why can't Dalma bring Jack Sparrow back in the same way? Why do all of the Black Pearl crewmen have to travel to the world of the dead and all that crap?

2-The curse wasn't really broken, because the monkey stole that last Aztec coin at the end of the first movie, triggering the curse.

If that is true, Jack Sparrow shouldn't be dead at all, since he also stole a coin and was turned into a zombie. Not to mention Pintel and Ragetti are now human.

3-Barbossa survived that.

That is the more unlikely of the three. How can anyone survive having his heart pierced out by a 19th century musket bullet?

Should be explained in World's End. Patience is a virtue.

And by the way, you should have those in spoiler tags. Some people haven't seen the movie yet.

If she brought him back from the dead she probably has the body to do so, where as she doesn't have Jack's. So there is nothing for her to bring back.

But why would she bring Barbossa back AT ALL?

What possible use could she have for him?

Someone has to mow the lawn.

It's a very hard job.
