Lastly, the third buddy comedy movie teaming the pot-smoking characters made famous by John Cho and Kal Penn has also been given a title and a release date, as New Line will be releasing A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas on November 5, 2010, just in time for the holidays.

Surprised they're doing a third one given where Kal Penn is right now in his life. But I see it no matter what. Imagine the Christmas Chaos they could get into now.

Second one sucked major donkey balls apart from the beginning. After the arrest it went downhill very fast. Not seeing this one.

Have to agree.

They dropped the ball bigtime on the second one. At the end of the first one it had you pumped because they were going to head to Amsterdam...a major weed haven. It was a perfect setup.

Then the sequel comes out and you find it's about their adventure to get there. Which involves a stupid terrorist joke(sorry they have gotten old...hahaha I get it, he's of Indian descent so we stupid Americans will instantly assume he's a terrorist on a plane due to his darker skin...F that!)that lands them in jail.

I just thought 95% of the sequel was lame and uninspired. I hope to hell that this third one is actually as funny as the first was.

The first one was awesome.
The second one looked to be good- The two characters trying to escape from a maximum security prison appeared to be a fresh and interesting story for the two characters, open to lots of comedic gags- but the escape takes about 5 minutes, and they spend the rest of the movie doing a rehash of the first one. Harold and Kumar trying to get from point A to point B taking and the trip being overly ridiculous.
It'll be nice if the 3 film is not just another variation of that.

I guess this will answer that age old question, do asian people celebrate Christmas? :o

I'll still see this, but if this is even half as bad as the last one, I will be disappointed.

The 2nd one was lame, except with Harris dressed kinda Goth...

When did she dress Goth??This is the girl that Kumar was into right? She was more preppy than anything.

Except in the flashback when they were in college, and she turned Kumar into a Pot Head.

I find it funny that people seemed to expect that the sequel was supposed to be more than a dumb, fun stoner comedy. Yes, the first one is better, but I do no t think the dip in quality was as substantial as people make it out to be. The first was more consistent and a slightly more memorable film. But five reasons why the second one was OK and well worth a viewing in my book.

1. Neil Patrick Harris.
2. The Cock Meat Sandwich
3. Doogey himself, Mr. Neil Patrick Harris
4. The college flashbacks.
5. NPH

If Kal Penn has time, I would not mind spending another 90 minutes with the two most lovable film stoner kids Hollywood has yet produced.

i'm definitely watching this. first one: revolutionary, second: it was a sequel, not sure what everyone was expecting.

i liked the seccond one also, was it as good as the first, no, but its funny.

i do agree that it should have been about amsterdam, not the journey there. they should have made this third one about it at least.

Prefer the first one to the second, but I'll give the third a chance.

That's right! Totally forgot since I only saw the movie once. It's a damn shame she turned all preppy later.

As for the people who don't 'get' why some of us didn't care for the sequel. We're not braindead, of course it's supposed to be silly and a bit dumb at times...the first film was too. I just think the adventures they could have had in Amsterdam would have been way better than some lame meeting with George Bush.

i actually enjoyed the second movie, not as much as the first, but it was pretty entertaining. but i totally agree with you about the adventures they could have had in amsterdam, i definitely felt like the premise was a cop out, but once i just got past that and tried to enjoy the movie for the story they were trying to tell i liked it. :o

There wasn't that much of a dip in quality in the second movie. It just wasn't "new" anymore. Neil Patrick Harris as a Ghost of Christmas Past? Can't wait.

I'd like to see how new the information of a new movie is. Because after the second one there was plans to make a third but after Kal Penn decided to be apart of Obama's fluffer crew those plans came to a halt because he said he wouldn't do another one

Does the world really need a 3rd Harold and Kumar movie ?

Nice! Why is it a christmas movie though? Why cant it just be normal?
