Comics Aaaaaaaand the person to bite it is... (Mashoosive spoiler for ASM 538)

She does indeed get shot in the issue, but that doesn't necessarily mean she's going to die...

Sheesh... :whatever: :whatever: :whatever:

You've read it, tmob? Got a scan? Or a little more detail of the overall issue?

And what about Civil War 7?

I gotta work today and can't get the issue for a few days... I'm feening!!!:csad: :cmad:

Nobody dies, Captain America surrenders, Iron Man wins and becomes director of S.H.I.E.L.D.

^ Wow that's lame, since when does he surrender to something so important.

And this whole Aunt May thing sucks. They ruined her death in 400 just to have her taken down by a sniper. Hell, she probably won't even die either. It's all just a way to either break up Pete and MJ or sell more books without having to write decent stories...or both.

Wow. Interesting to hear about Captain America
He surrendered like a little beyootch
I never liked this pathetic character.

I love how everyone has an opinion before reading the book... :whatever: :whatever: :whatever:

Basically, when Cap is about to deliver a final blow to Tony, a crowd of people rush to stop him, and he looks up and realizes the damage his fight has caused to the people of New York (where the battle took place), and he tells his army to stop and gives himself up.

Great characterization, in my opinion.

:yay:

And Marvel continues to go in its stupid little circle.

too bad cap didn't just finish stark...
Thats the thing. Cap wouldn't do that. Thats why the people saying "Cap giving up on something so important is stupid!" are all misguided uneducated( in Marvel Mythos) fools. Cap gave up because he realized continuing to fight the way he was would cause more harm than good. Cap fights for "The People". Not for Steven Rogers. He knew very well that if he kept his battle up...the damages already done would multiply thousand fold.

If you see that variant pick it up!
It is rare, not sure how rare, but it will be a hot book.

the one with Peter holding may? I really want that one.:(

Yes.
And good luck, I don't think you have much chance unless your store holds it back, but then they will be selling it for like 20 bucks.

Well I'm off to the nearest store shortly to see what copies of #538 they have.

Civil War left me cold. When I heard they kept goin' back an' redoin' the endin' I knew it was gonna come out like crap. An' what I love is part ONE of Back In Black doesn't even come out till next month, meanwhile we already got parts 27 & 52. (Okay, exaggeration there, but may as well be).

Yeeeaa... I really know what you mean.

To be honest, it's one of the reasons I don't even bother talking here much anymore. So many people have an opinion before they've even read the book

Wow. Interesting to hear about Captain America

I never liked this pathetic character.

He didn't surrender like a 'beeeyyotch,' he had taken down Iron Man, and all of his Avengers were winning, and he could've sliced off Tony's head if he felt like.

But being the most moralistic character in Marvel, decided to stop the destruction, and listened to the intervention of the policemen and fire fighters trying to stop him from giving Tony more of a beat down. 'Beeyotch' my hairy little arse.

Not only that, whenever Spidey get's SO MUCH AS A SCRATCH from another character, no matter how sensible it is for the storyline, all we hear is *****, *****, *****, moan, moan, moan! In this issue we had Spidey doing all sorts of badassery, and one brilliant page of classic Ditko/Romita era giving several supers a smack down. and I have not heard ONE SINGLE PERSON mention that.

Which goes to show, all people seem to want to do here is moan. Come on! Aren't people here glad to see Spidey kicking all kinds off ass, fighting for what he believes in, in his good ol' red and blues? He wasn't even 100% in good health! I think it was a great testament to our fave hero.

I swear, the amount of people in the Hype! who want to make an opinion based on comics that they haven't even read is quite ridiculous right now.

What happened to the good ol' days where people ACTUALLY WANTED TOREAD a book, and experience it how they creators intended before making an opinion? Rather than getting influenced by Tom Dick and Harry?

Comic fans online, (especially here,) seem to be getting prouder and prouder by becoming an army of parodies of 'comic book guy,' in the Simpsons, constantly yelling WORST (*fill gap*) EVER! Truth be told, this is how we're being seen more and more in the public now that comics are FINALLY getting more in the public eye again. It really is quite sad, I feel bad for all the people who constantly feel the need to boycott Marvel comics, yet spend all their time haging out in the Marvel forums. Major irony.

Instead of finding the smallest excuse to moan, how's about actually trying to have fun with comics? And have a balanced judgement? Like saying 'HELL YES!' when Spidey is shown to be one of the badasses of the MU?

Although it's quite clear to me, that the constant rewrites left the last few pages of CW 7 very badly paced, I feel satisfied with the ending, and am looking forward to the future:word: :yay: :spidey:

Sounds exciting to ME.

She gets shot, but doesnt nescessarily die. There was a preview of Spidey clinging to the side of a speeding ambulance, which begs a few possible scenarios;

Will she be taken into custody at the hospital? (provivded she survives)...im sure there's some sort of law against being on the lam with a wanted felon.

Will Peter smash his way into Ryker's to go after Kingpin?

If she is arrested, will Peter try and see her and have to battle some old friends and allies to do so?

Personally, i cant wait to see what happens...

Totally agreed
