ABC's Once Upon a Time - Part 4

Except adding to a cast also helps the shoe stay afloat. You can only go so many seasons with the same villains.

Does anybody have any guesses as to who is the "Other one" being held in the cage suspended next to Neal?
I was going to say Jack Sparrow. :oldrazz:

Wendy could be it, or Tink. I really doubt it would be Rumple though and I'm leaning towards someone else we haven't seen in a while or don't know yet but would recognize. Just not sure who that would be.

I can see how the combining of iconic characters on the show can get tiring, but it makes sense from a practical point of view. It is a tv show that alreadu has a high overhead with both special effects and a large cast. Adding cost by enlarging the cast of regulars and semi regulars or getting big names to play guest stars just is not in the cards people.

It would make about maybe 10% sense to do that if every character and villain they introduced was a regular. But this is why guest characters and reoccurring characters exist. You don't merge all these characters into one because that makes the world you are building really really small and boring. Thus far we have all these fairytale characters popping up, 2 villains have dealt with majority of them and it is BORING and just bad writing. Not to mention they want Regina and Gold to be somewhat redeemable but how in the hell is that suppose to happen or make me like them any more when they have littlerly screwed over just about every character we have interacted with? It has become a joke by this point.

TVLINE | Is there any moment of recognition between Regina and Ariel? Because Regina is Ursula, right?
Yes, Regina is Ursula. I think there probably is a little bit of resentment….

Though I am glad that they can swim between realms since I have been speculating that forever now.

And Ariel has a serious case of man hands in that preview.

I don't mind some villains being the same person but this is seriously stretching credibility that there are maybe four villains in all the worlds? Regina, Cora, Malefecient and Rumplestiltskin/The Dark One. Five if you want to count Pan who is more amoral than evil.

Yea it really sucks and it's only going to hurt them in the end.

Let's see, our star villains (Regina and Rumple), Charming's adopted dad, Mal, Cora, Pan, Hook(now turned anti-hero/charming Rogue), plus quite a few one off villains like an immoral (and female) Jack the Giant Slayer or Red's crazy ass werewolf family, the Hansel and Gretel witch, the evil siren/mermaid Charming offed for his betrothed, plus that collection of evil characters when Regina first cast the curse. Probably more I'm not forgetting on purpose. The show has had it's share of bad guys I'd say, with more to come I'm sure.

It's easy to forget but this is network TV. There are reasonable restrictictions on the amount of characters that do come down to cost. Why do you think we've spent all this time in Neverland with not so much as a peak at Maine so far?

Should I rephrase it to recurring villains and not every single bad person who ever appeared in the show?

This is the writers from Lost - I'm not going to give them a pass on the size of the cast for why they have Regina/Rumple doing double duty.

Lost had a larger cast than this show and they managed introducing new villains perfectly fine for six seasons.

They Can still use Jafar from Once Upon a Time in Wonderland they also have Hades Frollo I've heard rumors of an actually Cruella De Ville. There's still a lot of villain then can bring in hell they even made Peter Pan a Villian this season.

look i like regina but this is getting beyond the joke. they have already ruined maleficent and not this. seriously guys come on, you have the entire disney/grim character collection to work with bloody use it better

im convinced we'll never see something like this

I fail to see how they've "ruined" Maleficent.

Under-used? Sure.
Ruined? Lets not be overdramatic. :o

a bit parter who was obsessed with unicorns, that has only ever appeared again in dragon and zombie form to be killed off

its bloody close to ruined when you consider she is meant to be the big bad every other villain bows down to

So Joanna confirmed that Regina is Ursula, I couldn't be more happy about that.

The actress is busy on True Blood which is entering its final season so after that's over we might get to see her in a bigger, badder role. She's far from dead. The beheading appeared to only slow her down, not kill her.

Joanna Garcia confirmed nothing we didn't already know from promos/the preview clip. We don't know anything about the context.

But sure, commence Primal dropping some Lima Heights gifs and Milos acting as Regina's sole cheerleader. :o

I don't get why is everyone so upset about Ursula\Regina, I think Lana should have played Maleficent too!!!

I guess Milos would want Lana to also play Leia & Padme. If they ever got Star Wars in the show

Why limit it to female roles? Lana should've been Gaston! It would've been hot. :o

How about they are

1. Taking away a chance of adding another interesting villain to the show
2. Cheaping the character of Regina even more by spreading her too thin
3. It's going to be harder for Regina to get her redemption if she has ****ed over EVERYONE in the realms
4. It's getting boring and extremely predictable and boring.
