^I apologize somewhat for the shrill tone of the above post. I let unnecessary emotion get the better of me. I stand by most of the sentiments and rationales I gave but I should have expressed them with greater tact. Again, apologies to any whom felt I went too far.

Just so I remember I actually did apologize for my tone and letting emotion get the better of me. I was not taking crazy pills.

As soon as I saw Yvette Nicole Brown (huge fan of OUAT, by the way) in the credits, I was like "Huh, that's funny" and then about 15 minutes into the episode it hit me. I was like " Dare I hope?" and then it happened. So, at the very least, Primal Slayer didn't need to resort to levelling this thread with Lima Heights gifs.

Oh, and Milos? Deal with it. :o

Eh, I thought the episode was okay. The actress who plays Ariel is adorable , but other than that it was just an eh. I have trouble believing Hook is actually in love with Emma. Maybe the actor has done too good a job convincing me he's a wolf. Lol. Next weeks looks much better , and I'm glad we will finally see storybrooke again.

I blame some of the dialogue more than I blame the actors. Sometimes it's very Disney fairy-tale fluffy ****. Ginny Goodwin gets the worst of it, I think.

Thats a really good point, i cant stand hearing Snow and Charming saying the same damn thing all the time. I do feel like Emma has only one look and there is some times when we have just terrible dialogue but a good actor can make terrible dialogue come alive in some way. Overall i think we are on the same page.

I quite liked the Regina/Ursula twist, I hope that real Ursula thing at the end is just a filler for now. I'd love for them to further explore The Little Mermaid world, but I understand the difficulties of that. Certainly not easy to send everyone under the sea as it is sending them to Neverland. Happy to see Rumple and Regina working again, but taking Ariel's voice for all this time is ****ed up.

The reunion with Neal was anti-climatic, I imagined something bigger to come of that. Looks like the wheels start moving again next week. They've been dragging it the last few weeks, was expecting more **** to go down between the rescue team and Pan.

I can't imagine they'd throw Ursula completely into the mix JUST yet (don't get excited, Milos), but I could see her coming into the fold in the long run of the series. Perhaps once Community is wrapped, so they can use Yvette Nicole Brown in full (great casting).

I gotta admit i enjoyed tonights episode... Yeah, Regina played the Ursula role, but glad to see the real one exist... I foresee the Disney Masters of Evil forming against Regina....

My only real beef is they completely missed the point of the little mermaid and fed into the stereotype... The Disney film was not about "a girl who would do anything/ change herself to get a man"

It was about a girl defying her father "who knows best" to do and go where she really wants. Eric was just a bonus. She wanted to be part of that world before ever meeting Eric

There was a weird vibe of doing Ariel without the naivety and curiosity about the surface world... It was clear that while she collected things.... That she was pretty familiar with the surface world

I'm still not sure why people think we'll be seeing a "council of villains" chances are great ITS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!...at least not in the way we had all hoped when this series was first announced. However I would love to be proven wrong...

And people please stop responding to Milos' trolling ways at this point he's just being ridiculous.

Edit: I think by the end of this Hook may find a way to take David's punishment or "price" and stay in Neverland forever.

Very true, plus the whole mermaids being able to walk on land once per year cheapened her giving up her fins. And as I saw someone else say, there wasn't any depth to Ariel/Eric, they were extremely rushed as a couple and separately.

Also Regina/Snow seemed to forget about good mermaids existing when they were attacked by them.

A council of villains is certainly possible. It'd shave the show's formula up a bit...Jafar , Ursula , Maleficent.... It wouldn't technically gave to be a whole season with the villains in every episode... Just a few of them all together then most other episodes just with one of the villains going about there plan.

I suppose other than those 3.... Pan and Rumple could be a part of it... Or the Gingerbread Witch, The Sanderson Sister witches ;), blue fairy (if evil) , stromboli (maybe he's got powers of changing people into animals? They never told the pleasure island/donkey aspect of pinocchios story), Dr. whale/frankenstein, the wicked witch of the west, the snow queen (frozen), or the witch from narnia, Dr. Facilier, the female witch from sword in the stone ( or merlin himself), dracula, the villain from black cauldron, Davy Jones/black beard/long john silver, demon from fantasia , gnome king, hades, villain from emporers new groove, etc... Would all work well on the show... Considering they all could be magical characters

As much as id love to see the non magical villains other than prince john most don't really make sense on this magical based show not as real threats anyway (ring master, lady tremane, cruella, shire khan, all the "hunters" from Tarzan, gaston, to rescuers down under, madame medusa, frollo, mulan villain, ratcliffe , scar etc... Id love to see them try... Especially cruella ... But unless she's trying to skin a humanoid simba to steal some sort of magic... It just really seems pushing it. Crime/drama characters don't seem to fit well in this show.

Maybe after wonderland they do a storybrooke spinoff where belle or whomever can be sheriff... Is handling these people

Well, i sorta get the vibe that mermaids have a very sorted history... Maybe they're typically treated as creatures neither good or bad, just animals in Ft land...?

I do hope though that we see a follow up to Regina killing a mermaid though

Did magic suck all the light out of Neverland? There was day light when Hook first went there but nothing but darkness now.

Just my opinion, there's anyway out there you can think of to bring almost any character into this universe. It's like the Imaginationland of tv shows. Cruella could easily come from the same world as the Darlings as well as any hunters and any animal characters could be shown to have once been human or could simply be talking animals like the ones on Wonderland. Anything is possible here really.

Well, remember, in the S2 finale when Wendy came back, she asked how long she was gone, because even though she was gone for just the night, it felt much longer actually being there. Might be the same situation here. I think Neverland just kind of ****s up the notion of time as we know it.

Of course there is plenty of ways to bring in someone like Cruella. Only thing they really need to do is either drop her in FTL land time era or put her in London with Wendy and fam. and somehow end up in ftl or somewhere with everyone.

Kinda surprised we haven't seen a light at the heart of the island yet lol

Once again Regina saves the day! She unmasked fake shadow Bell and helped Rumpelstiltskin, and found a way for them to get rid of Pan without killing him and Rumple in the proces! And what did snow do, proved once again that she can't keep a secret!

The question is... How do you make her a threat towards magic people... And how do you expand her beyond puppies

I now know not to post an apology, which can be seen right below the post that prompted your response. I apologized for my tone, but in return I get called smug. Nice. Stay classy.

Just so I remember I actually did apologize for my tone and letting emotion get the better of me. I was not taking crazy pills.
I wasn't expecting an apology so much as maybe hoping you'd realize how you come off to other posters on the board with those remarks. Others are deserving of an apology since most of your comments were directed at them. Don't use my post as an excuse to not reflect on how you treat other posters.

You did acknowledge your emotions get the better of you which is a good thing you shouldn't forget. It's something everyone does from time to time but giving up after one negative remark is hardly an effort. I probably over criticized your comment too and I'm not innocent of harshly commenting either, obviously (I used to be much more brutal in the past). Still, it is better to keep trying than just pull off a "I tried" after failing once like Regina did and giving up. :oldrazz:

Comparing me ta Regina is fightin' words round deez parts! (unless you're Milos, in which case Milos would do an endzone touchdown celebration dance. )

Just joking. I've made my position clear, my aforementioned apology was to the genral reading public of the thread, which again I'd point out was the post right after when I re-read what I typed. I am hoping this does not become a "thing" and it's a bye gones be byegones situation.

Finally caught the episode. Well, seems like Hook may actually be honest about his feelings towards Emma. Maybe he's taking stock of his current situation and thinks he has a real shot with a "hero" if he returns to "Good Form".

The Pan/Rumple back story is something I have to see. It's killing me. They had better cast young Rumple as well as they did young Snow. I really wonder just how powerful is Pan that he keeps having these one on ones with The Dark One and Rumple just doesn't go Palpatine on him and fry him with some blue lightning and call it a day? Pan must also have some reservations about having a showdown as well since he is trying to trick Rumple out of NL, what with the shadow doppleganger and all.

They didn't give us a clue as to who is Pan's other captive. It had better be a doozy.

Show us the pan/rumple backstory...it must been seen

I'm not looking to keep a running argument with anyone so considered it dead and buried. :woot:

I should also stay out of the thread until I have a chance to catch last night's episode. Don't want to be spoiled. :oldrazz:
