ABC's Once Upon a Time - Part 4

[Primal Slayer]

Yeah this was one of the better episodes this season. Mainly due to the flashbacks. Though, didnt Storybrooke repeat the same day over and over? So did Storybrooke just learn to integrate Henry into everyones memories?

The defeat of Pan was underwhelming though. I feel like there was A LOT of story that couldve been told that they skipped.

Nice twist though.

Well, he's obviously not defeated yet.

Gilmore is SO gonna f' this thing up. He is nowhere near the level that Kay is in portraying the character.

Not exactly, no. Regina's curse kept most of the people from aging, and supressed their memories from the Enchanted Forest, but only so long as they remained in Storybrooke. Anyone who left would have their Forest memories permanently wiped, and resume aging as normal.

As the original creator of the curse, Rumple's the only one who knows everything about it; that's why he was able to protect himself in New York, and restore Belle's memories after Hook shot her. Emma escaped the curse's original casting, and Henry was born outside of Storybrooke, so they're both immune.

...When Emma first got to town, that the first time the clock past 12, pretty sure the day just kept restarting before Emma broke that part of the curse. We even saw Regina having the same interactions with everyone in the flashback episode when storybrooke got created.

There was some retcon stuff happening here to shore up some possible plot problems with the idea of Regina going out into the world (do you think she ever went to a Sandal's resort?) and then of course the whole "selective memory wipe" potion at the end.

I thought certain people could indeed go in and out. Rumple and Regina for instance. they've never said Regina couldn't leave. Sidney Glass though was a lil wha?

I actually thought tonight was the fall finale, glad to see it isn't! Regina/Pan moment was awesome, but really should have happened sooner. Kid talks a great game, but he's weak. Poor Cora is rolling in her grave at how tame Regina and Rumple have been this season. She would have crushed Pan with her pinky within the hour she set foot in Neverland.

Ending scene would have been bad*** if the Henry actor wasn't so laughably horrible. Next week is the perfect time for the ol' switcheroo, do it please!

I think the implication has been from the start that time did pass, but the town's magical nature kept it from affecting the people normally. They had lives before Emma showed up, but they didn't physically age. Different days had various events and such, like everywhere else...but no one left the borders.

I don't think Regina being able to leave the town is really a retcon. I could probably write it off as one of the perks of being the one who enacted it.

Though they did seem to renig on the "ground hog day effect" Regina clearly had to deal with in an episode. that is, unless the 2 that stumbled upon the town broke that part of the curse?

they said in their first appearance that Pan has been using magic to stop them from aging. Why their style never changed over 11 years... is another thing

Age means nothing, there are a TON of great actors his age and younger. Carl from Walking Dead comes to mind.

Henry just isnt a very good actor
