I thought it was a fairly well done finale, at least from a character driven standpoint. Most of the drama did seem fairly predictable in that it wouldn't last, but the character work done for Emma, finally getting her to a place to accept who she is and where she came from, was very well done. Her finally calling her parents mom and dad was a great moment. And I'm probably in the minority, but I like Hook and her together. They have some good chemistry, and he treats her more like an equal than Neal did at times.
Though they took some steps back on Regina's development though, with her blaming Emma like she did it on purpose. At least she didn't go full evil, but it shows that she's still not grown up enough to be considered a real hero/good guy. But hey, she's not really done enough to deserve it quite yet either with all the pain and suffering she caused in the past.
Elsa might not end up being a full villain, the urn she was in came from Rumple's vault where he said he kept magic he said that he didn't understand. Didn't say it was good or bad, so she could go either way.
