They could show us an actual ancient genie who looks magical.

That may be True but none of the Genie's we have met have met Aladdin or Jasmine yet.

Also the Ending never really hints if Elsa is Evil or Good she could be In between like the movie who knows. Course she musta done something to be stuck in that vase for all we know. Course as I said this show has turned good guys into Villians before.

I was thinking maybe Ursula at first. The vault was supposed to contain powerful magic, and her being kept in the urn could have explained why she hadn't been seen in person for so long to be considered a myth, but still had enough power to project herself out temporarily like to possess that statue. That might have been pushing things though.

But I'm fine with Elsa.

Elizabeth Mitchell for The Ice Queen.
I can definitely see that, she'd be perfect

Comon her movie just came out to the kids last year. Changing her age is not cool, with the young kids.

I hope the actress is young - 18-30 age range.

I was expecting more of a negative freak-out with that last bit in the episode here.

I'll throw this out as a maybe.... Maybe it's not going to tie into FROZEN's characters in any way shape or form?

This show isnt connected to any of the disney movies. They just use the characters in their own way and have the show has its own canon. And at this point, they've changed plenty of stuff so casting an actress in her 40s is a non issue. And the young kids dont give two ****s about her age. The difference between a 20 year old and a 40 year old is lost on a five year old.

Not that any young kids are actually watching this show.

You know i'm starting to think more Snow Queen less Elsa right now. But I guess we will find out next season.

I just wouldnt get my hopes up for the show to be entirely faithful to Frozen and its take on the characters. This show has made its own path in its own way.

Hell, will her name even be Elsa? And if it is, will we get Anna also?

This was my least favorate finale. All of that and really nothing changes except marion Is in present.

Regina will now be after emma like she was after snow bet on it.

Way too much pandering to emma/hook shippers.

In a way i wonder if this show has jumped the shark. Not as enjoyable as season 1 or even season 2.

I liked 3a and the Midseason finale of that but this season finale I agree was so missing something.

Yeah its pretty much Elsa...

I thought it was a pretty good episode. I love the hook/swan partnership and the time travel stuff offered new interactions from old characters so that was fun.

To all the people 'whining' about Once's creators trying to cash in on Frozen's popularity in a bid to drum up ratings or pandering to fans of the movie by bringing in their own 'Elsa-ified' version of the Snow Queen character, there have been very few stories they've done that haven't been meticulously planned out, which is why I feel confident in saying that they likely knew they were bringing in the Snow Queen character months before Frozen took the world by storm, although I do think it likely that the film did influence the character's physical appearance just as has been the case with many other aspects of the show and its take on various characters.

Regarding Marian's resurrection and the wrench it throws into the Robin/Regina story, there was a distinct difference between the way Regina acted when she angrily told Emma that she was just like Snow and the way she would have acted even at the beginning of the season. Yes, she's upset and angry, but it's not a step back for her at all because she's in a much different place now than she was.

Marian's resurrection is an obstacle, but it's not a slap in the face to Regina/Robin fans any more than the Mary Margaret/Kathryn/David story was a slap in the face to Snow/Charming fans.
