Well, we got I'll first reference of the season tonight. And for someone who's such a feared warlord, all Bo Peep had was two guards who could barely touch Charming?

Meh episode. Another "you can do it, believe in yourself.. inspirational same old thing" episode.

Though I love the entrance of the Ice Cream Maker that is Elizabeth Mitchell! And Snow White complaining about that she shouldn't be one to fix the electricity was funny.

I didn't pay attention but did they even have her name in the credits as a guest star?

We need a gif of Elizabeth Mitchell licking ice cream off her finger

Well Charming has to be a natural born bad ass.(never thought I would say that before watching this show) How else to explain him decapitating a dragon with one blow back in the season 1 flashback. It just took a little training to bring that out.

She was referred to as a warlord, but Bo was basically nothing more than a 'landed mercenary', somebody who used intimidation to get what she wanted but had little actual power. It's a very medieval concept, and one I think they pulled off well.

As far as Charming goes, his reluctance to fight was never about whether or not he had the skills; it was about whether or not he had the confidence. Once he found the confidence he'd been lacking, he was winning that fight with Bo and her goons out of sheer determination; the amount of time he'd spent training with Anna became irrelevant.

So these past two weeks were the first two episodes of the show I've seen. I'm enjoying it, think I'll have to go back and check out the earlier seasons.

I admit that I had my doubts about how Georgina "looked" as Elsa from all those still photos.

but, 2 episodes in, I can say that Georgina is really pretty as Elsa. :atp:

that being said, I still can't really get into the show, and I find myself forwarding through all the non-Elsa stuff ( yes......I even forward through the Anna stuff..........:o ).

guess I really am watching this show for Elsa.........lol.

thats all bo peep had...just 2 guards,,cmon

Snow going off on granny and the dwarfs was funny

Liked thee episode the stuff with Elsa and Emma was great. It will be interesting to seee if Elizabeth Mitchel is the Orginal Snow Queen from the story or the White Witch IDK if she could be the White Witch though because I don't think Disney has the writes to do Narnia.

I want to see more of Rumple and the Sorcersor's hat though but I assume we will get there.

I really do hope she's the Narnia White Witch, it just makes more sense, and if She's just the "Snow Queen" from the original tale, doesn't that sort of take away from Elsa being "the snow queen" quite a bit? I'm fine if EM goes by "the Snow Queen" but it'd be great if she was also the "White Witch of Narnia"

Disney doesn't own the film rights anymore, but Disney could always be granted television rights. The whole Frankenstein "World without color" seemed heavily inspired by Universal's monsters.

Does anyone else think that maybe Mitchell's character is Elsa's real mother somehow?

It's been a while since I've seen Frozen, but I don't think it was ever securely established that Anna and Elsa are both biologically from the same parents.

No not really. Frozen is so far removed from the tale that it was "adapted" it from, it wouldnt take away anything.

Its certainly on the table

Ratings held up pretty well last night. Better than The Simpsons and Family Guy at any rate.

I'm liking Elsa's storyline so far and that it appears that her storyline will help advance Emma's. I'm glad the show took a much needed break from Regina and focused on the Savior for once.

Its not much further removed from the original than most of the disney fairytales.

It is more removed from most of their other adaptions though, the Snow Queen in the fable is nothing like Elsa and would take nothing away from her. Only thing they have in common are their powers.
