ABC's Once Upon a Time - Part 7

This show continues to have some of the best costuming for their characters that I've seen in a long time.

Their Cruella, Maleficent and Ursula look amazing.

But without magic I'm not sure she would work as a villain in OUAT...unless she is just the schemer. The evil mastermind that directs Mal and Ursula. If these three are a triumvirate of sorts and Cruella is the brains then a magicless Cruella could work. But if she is just doing her own thing with no magic and tries to engage Swan or Regina or any othef magic person she will get her ass handed to her. Being evil without magic will only get you so far on OUAT.

She could have no magic but know how to deal with people who do. Just because you don't have powers doesn't mean you don't know how to counter act them.

Ursula is wearing Regina's headpiece!

Regina still looks more like iconic Ursula!

Best believe that they better give the real thing her iconic look. I don't know why they like to fool around so much with TLM, but we will see.

Maybe that's what the show needs. A villain who doesn't have magic on their side but is still vicious and can get the job done.

Just watched the episode, have to say they did a top job with the snow queen, that ending was so sad, I really liked how she was different to the other villains they've had. Props to the writers and Elizabeth for doing so well.
I felt sad for Ingrid in the end, but she died happy which is good and realsied she did wrong.

Hope we see Anna, Elsa and Kristoff go back home and kick Hans in the balls lol
I've enjoyed seeing those two actresses bring Elsa and Anna to life, but have done an increidble job which must have been scary knowing how big frozen is.

BTW, since Snow Queen is gone, is Marian still frozen?

Probably the best episode of Once was last nights ep. it was truly perfect. But now I'm ready for "The Queens of Darkness" to take over.

I was reading some comments from another site and someone was saying that Once's Ursula could be a mixture of the character from TLM and Calypso from the PoTC trilogy, I wouldn't mind that.

I'm going to miss Anna and Elsa, but I can't wait to see "The Queens of Darkness" storyline.
Also I shed a tear at Ingrid's death. I'm going to miss Elizabeth Mitchell, she's one of my favorite actresses.

I can't wait for Maleficent to get back to Storybrooke! Got any scoop for her arc on Once Upon a Time this season? — Annie
You're not the only one! Lana Parrilla, who plays Regina, says that the frenemies will share a "huge" flashback episode that takes place before Maleficent (in dragon form) was defeated by Emma. "Regina and Maleficent have a really interesting history," she says. "You'll see how they met and how they became friends."

Can't wait!

Three queens = three people that wants 2 kill Regina = awesome

So I've just binge watched the whole show up until this point and now decided to join discussion boards now. It's really great so far seeing twists and turns and seeing characters go from hero to villain and vice versa. It's also really jarring to see Henry's voice break too. Consider me a fan now! :)

So what's going to happen up ahead for the rest of the season? Are Anna and Elsa leaving the show now?

Also another question I have, seeing that this is a Disney owned show pretty much, would the idea of a musical episode(sort of like what they did with Supernatural's 200th episode) not be out of the question?

Anna and Elsa and Kristoff leave next week. At least for the time being, no word on if they'll be back. The second half of the season has Maleficent, Ursula and Cruella as the villains.

Hello Matt, do you know who is going to die during Once Upon a Time‘s midseason finale? –Marko
Let us focus on the living, Marko! (That’s my way of dodging the question to instead tell you about the role being cast for Episode 15. The ABC series is seeking an African-American actress to guest-star as “Miranda,” a 19- to 22-year-old princess. Described as ” warmhearted and passionate,” this lass wants nothing more than to bring peace and beauty into the world. Yet beneath her gentle exterior, she is headstrong and full of grit – so if you cross her, you may find her more terrifying than even the most powerful kings. Did I mention she has a lovely singing voice, as well?)

Who do you think it will be?

Henry himself?

Pinocchio?

I'm still willing to bet it'll be the sorcerer being built up, who'll probably be Yen Sid like Fantasia.

Once Upon a Time' prepares for a Maleficent nightmare

Now that the Snow Queen has vanquished herself, Storybrooke will have to prime itself to fight a new front of evil on”Once Upon a Time.” For the next half of Season 4 the town will have to deal with a trio of evil: “Sleeping Beauty’s” Maleficent (Kristin Bauer van Straten), “101 Dalmatians” Cruella de Vil (Victoria Smurfit) and “The Little Mermaid’s” Ursula (Merrin Dungey).
However, Storybrooke’s already resident Evil Queen (Lana Parilla) is only worried about one of these new villains, and it is the one she’s closest to.
"I think Maleficent is more of a formidable foe because she’s a powerful sorceress so I think she fears what Maleficent is going to bring to Storybooke and the potential danger of having this sorceress/dragon beast coming back," Parilla explains to Zap2it. "She’s not as threatened by the other two."
That does not mean that there isn’t something to fear when it comes to Cruella and Ursula. Parilla hints that there’s also a backstory with them and Regina as well. “In regards to Cruella and Ursula — [Regina] knows of these women. They too have a history with her, but not as close or as tight as Maleficent’s,” she says.
Regina and Maleficent’s relationship was explored a little in Season 2, before Emma slays Maleficent in her dragon form. Now the sorceress will be returning and their history will be reexamined. “They were once friends so you’ll see there’s an episode coming up where you’ll see their back story and how they met,” Parilla says.
It will be old ties versus the new Regina when the evil three arrive in town. These are Regina’s people and she’s not about to let anyone near her throne. “[Regina] is going to take that sort mayoral position where she’s going to protect everyone if there is any sort of havoc that is caused by these women,” explains Parilla.
The Spell of Shattered Sight reminded Regina — and fans — how good it can be to be evil though. Reuniting with old friends in the face of adversity may be Regina’s best temptation to return to the dark side and everyone will have to choose which side of that moral line they fall on.
"Who is everyone going to root for — heroes or villains? That’s what this episode [on Dec. 14] is all about," Parilla says. "Regina is going to have to pick a side and I think that’s going to play out throughout the season."

She could have no magic but know how to deal with people who do. Just because you don't have powers doesn't mean you don't know how to counter act them.

But the only way to counteract magic is with magic so Cruella will need to use magic at some point. She may not be magical when she arrives at Storybrooke, but it's probably not a stretch to assume she will acquire magic of some sort before the end.

Maybe that's what the show needs. A villain who doesn't have magic on their side but is still vicious and can get the job done.

I can't see ABC allowing Cruella to shank a ***** or shoot someone. And really if Cruella doesn't use magic how else is she going to get the job done? Drop a piano on Emma? I'd actually get a kick out of Cruella trying something like that.:funny:

But in all seriousness I'm in agreement. If she doesn't use magic she's probably going to "hire" or use someone else to get the job done. I don't need her to have magic. Like I said on another page, if she is a schemer and sorta sends someone to do her dirty work I wouldn't mind.

I just don't want her to have some personal connection or vendetta against someone. Let's just have a psychotic sociopath. No feels. No family BS. Just straight up cold hearted ice queen ***** from Fairy Tale Land Hell.
