Think The Dark One that imprisoned Merlin in the tree was a female, possibly Maleficent?

I think it'll be the woman he loved and having whatever dark magic she had burned away her humanity.

More along the lines of Nimue i think.
The Episode was a bit of a letdown, it was supposed to be the episode that breaks the internet...according to one of the writers.

I cant keep a straight face when Regina goes to lecture others for things she did without thinking twice.

Heh, I didn't catch this before from the ep:

I've been having trouble keeping myself interested the past few episodes. This is one of my favorite shows yet so far this season I haven't keep up as much, and it didn't help that Hell in a Cell was on also.

I was disappointed in Merlin.

Hes supposedly the greatest magician in all the lands and he gets that work in a few minutes from the Dark One. Come on son.

I think his love is probably going to be Morgan Le Fay.

This show has always portrayed dark magic as being stronger then white magic.

No, that's it. Just thought it was pretty funny bit of prop continuity.
That was a good catch. I didn't see it myself the first time around. It is right in front of you but if you aren't paying attention you totally miss it. :o

Barbara Hershey will return to Once Upon a Time for the upcoming 100th episode, EW has learned exclusively.

Hershey will reprise her role as Regina’s (Lana Parrilla) mother, Cora, otherwise known as the Queen of Hearts. The last we saw of Hershey’s Cora in present day — Rose McGowan plays a younger version of the character — she had attempted to obtain the Dark One’s dagger, but was killed by Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin).

It’s unclear whether Cora will appear via flashback, or there’s something surprising in store for the big episode, which is slated to air as the spring premiere in early March.

Other familiar faces slated to return this season include Jamie Chung, Meghan Ory and David Anders.

Once Upon a Time airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

$10 says Cora will return.... in Hades.

I think there's going to be a debt still needed to be collected... and we will certainly see the cast journey into the underworld... and it wouldn't shock me if several old friends and foes are there.

Seems interesting...think we'll get Hercules?

Yeeeeah, I'm betting we'll be seeing a lot more old faces than just Cora. Neal feels like a certainty. Maybe Milah, providing an emotional moment since both her former loves have moved on? Graham and Peter Pan would be big gets. It might be fun to see Charming come face to face with his twin, too. Letting Josh Dallas do the dual role in the same scene for the first time.

yup with that title..., the charismatic male being cast... showing a Furie and Charon and mentioning the underworld... Hades is definitely coming

they've already said MLF will not be in this season.. and there wasn't room for her.

the Dark one is likely Nimue Merlin's lover... and the November 8th episode is titled after her.

Any clues as to whether Once Upon a Time viewers are literally going to “hell” aka the Underworld, and if so, as a whole cast? Or is it possible it comes to Storybrooke? –Karen
Details — on any confirmed trip to Hell or otherwise – are scarce thus far, but this much I can share: For an early Season 5B episode, the ABC series is guest-casting the roles of a “dashing, strapping young man” who is “single-minded in his pursuit of his destiny: to be the greatest hero who ever lived” and a “plucky, 18-year-old female adventurer with a sly sense of humor and a tough, no-nonsense spirit.”

lol I love seeing people on Tumblr being pissy about the Charmings, Regina and Hook brushing off Belle when she tried to get them to help Rumple and reminded them that Emma was seduced by the darkness just like he was. Yeah, get back to me when Emma spends centuries ****ing their s*** up and treating them like puppets.

I don't think that's been the case. I think they've pretty consistently shown that white magic in this is more powerful than dark.

God bless you! God bless your family and everyone else in your life!
