ABC's Once Upon a Time - Part 9

Henry's cursed memories being of [blackout]his wife and child dying in a fire[/blackout]? Christ. Whoever cast this thing really isn't messing around.

Though, I do wonder if the "wife" ends up being a grown-up Violet and it turns out she and the baby "miraculously survived" in the event that Henry and Jacinda start getting too close.

Of course, once again the creators decided to repeat something that was already done in the previous seasons. This is basically a knock off of season 1 with less interesting characters. The magic is no longer present and they are just dragging the show even more.

This season feels unnecessary to me. For me, Season 1 to 6 is THE Once Upon a Time while season 7 is just a bonus.

Yeah it definitely had that "added" aspect to it. But oddly, I didn't hate it like I thought I would. Though it does feel a little redundant.

Do you think they might be trying to squeeze two more seasons out of this overused idea?

Oh totally. I think everyone will get their memories back but they will probably do a rinse and repeat of a new curse somehow keeping them there and not being able to get back to Storybrooke OR FTL. Of course now there are 2 FTLs....how does that even work.

Curious to see how things wrap up for Emma tonight.

For how insufferable the tumblr fanbase has been about it, I'd almost be amused if she did end up being killed off.

Well thats one way to eat your cake and have it to writers. How very Arrow of them.

Kind of chuckling over the "Henry/Cinderella is just a straight SwanQueen" thing I still see on Twitter every once in awhile. Aside from it being a pairing of the main protagonist and a latina, I'm not really seeing it. But you know... keep making everything about you, SQ fans.

Incredibles shout out I see

So they show Belle aging by giving her a white strained of hair? lol

Alice is certainly a more interesting character then a lot of the cast.

If Belle is living in the Enchanted Forest again, shouldn't her aging have slowed down.

Belle & Rumple had been back home living in the Enchanted Forrest for decades, so Belle aged naturally over the course of those decades, although the show made it seem like it all happened rapidly. Rumple is immortal and didn't age over the course of that time.

Once Upon a Time books The Originals star as potential love interest

Given the concept of the new curse, where they've landed in a populous city with regular people, rather than an isolated small town, I suppose he could just be the character described there, but I can't imagine such a character would actually end up with a recurring role/arc of any kind.

So I'm guessing Flynn Rider.

I wonder if they will give us proper versions of The Little Mermaid.

Ivy seems to know more about everything going on than her mother seems to know. I thought Ivy would eventually turn good but for now that doesn't seem to be the case.

Kudos to the writers for finally breathing life back into this show. I am actually enjoying it and somewhat surprised by the twists.

Though some things seem really rushed (IE: Regina's apprentice surpassing her in magic in all of 24hrs)

Hmm...

If there's familiarity between Henry and Parsons' character, I think that narrows the possibilities down a bit. I think I'm gonna go with grown-up Roland. I'd say maybe Neal, but I think Parsons reads a bit too old. They haven't made the timeline clear, but the actress playing Robin could at least pass for a teen. I don't think he can. Roland being a bit older, that works.

Then again, I guess he could really be any character that Henry crossed paths with after leaving Storybrooke. I guess we'll see.

Two hours tonight.

Just knew Alice would be Hook's daughter from the beginning. She appears to be awakened while he is not but they will possibly get a happy ending by the end of the season.

The Giant Garden Gnome was funny in tonight's episode.:hehe:

What surprises me is that [blackout]Alice is not Cinderella's mother[/blackout] given the way they relate everyone to everyone. It would make almost all the main characters even more related in blood or marriage in the typical twisted way that OUAT's family tree grows.

I love burgeoning gay romance. :o

I’m loving the twist this season. It really looked like same old same old but they’ve twisted some things up.
