Amy ****ing owned every scene she was in. I can't help but love her fairy Nova character. She just so adorable.:atp:

Was that the same Fairy that Rumple killed early on ? Because if so it kind of makes me glad she is dead

Well, given that Amy Acker isn't black..... :o

I hope we get a Nova sequel episode. Taking place after Rumple kills the evil fairy

Another fine ep!
I am constantly amazed at how great this showed turned out...I had no hope for it when I first heard about it. :)

Amy IS the actress who played Nova. Or are there 2 Amy's on this show?
Heh...oops.:O

I meant the actress that plays the Blue Fairy and Amy were in Supernatural.

Keegan Connor Tracy was Sera Seige, Chuck's publisher.

EW.com:
‘ONCE UPON A TIME’: ANSWERS AND APPLES ‘RED AS BLOOD’

The magical first season of Once Upon a Time is set to wrap up in May, but don’t ask for the last episode’s title. “We’re debating it,” said co-executive producer Adam Horowitz. “We’ve run out — that’s it. We can’t think of a title now,” fellow co-EP Edward Kitsis joked.

But the penultimate episode is a different story. I’ll let you theorize exactly what the title “Apple Red as Blood,” means, but I can tell you that it’s part of a final arc that will focus heavily on the major players rather than stand-alone stories — like the heartwarming one we saw this week with Grumpy. “Next week is who the big bad wolf is. And then we just take off,” said Kitsis. “You’re gonna find out why the evil queen hates Snow White, what happened to Rumple’s son. You’re gonna find out who the stranger is. You’re gonna find out what happened to Kathryn and her disappearance, and it’s just gonna go crazy now.” Crazy, indeed — especially with Mary Margaret and David, Josh Dallas said.

Mr. Gold will act as Mary Margaret’s lawyer after she becomes implicated in Kathryn’s disappearance (and, possibly, murder, Kitsis teased!), and, says Dallas, “Lots of things go down. [David] feels very responsible,” he says. And it will all lead up to the epic season-ender. “All I can say is I just got the script for episode 21 and it is going to go someplace that the audience will not expect it ever to go,” he said.

That title for episode 21 makes it sound like the Snow/Charming flashbacks will get to the point where we found them in the pilot. More than likely I'm getting far too ahead of myself, but that really gives me the feeling that [blackout]David and Mary Margaret will learn who they really are[/blackout] by season's end. Then again, it's the same with Revenge, and my assumption that the Grayson's will learn who Emily is, so maybe I'm just getting ahead of myself all over the place.

I guess tonight we will find out if Dr. Whale really is the Big Bad Wolf. He would of had to have been a shape shifter in fairytale world but being in the real world temporarily cured his curse.

Strangely enough I had a feeling that either David or Granny was the wolf, but not Red.

Snow White had better done something to the Queen that justifies the Queen being the way the Queen is & why she is going through all of this. Otherwise if Emma does not bring Regina down a notch in the finale. I will probably be done with this show until I find out that happens

Interesting twist about Red and it didnt involve Rumple or Regina! So yay. Though it still kills me how modern they speak in ftl.

Isn't this that vertigo comic they were talking about a while ago?

Nope. But the success of this more than likely killed any chance of that being adapted any time soon as well.

I would think if anything this would give it a better shot at being made.

Willingham, the comic creator, actually said quite awhile ago that a tv adaptation is likely dead. It also doesn't probably help that it was ABC themselves that had the rights to making it, and I doubt they want to try something that might take away from their own success. Someone else could try to pick it up, but who knows. Though that doesn't write off the possibility of movies.

i was thinking granny. But read did take me by surprise for some reason. Even though i always liked how "wolf like" here eye make-up has been in the real world.

with a name like "whale" he's probably connected to Pinocchio i'd imagine. or the little mermaid?

Ya but they wont have those rights forever if they dont use them.

I keep waiting for someone with artistic talent to do Disney-fied versions of the show's characters, but I've seen nothing of the sort. It's a shame, too. Seeing an animated Rumpel would be awesome.

Question, did anything significant happen in the first minute or so of last night's episode? I ask because our DVR, even though I set it to start a minute early, didn't catch the very beginning and David was just leaving Emma's office (no idea what their conversation was about or if there was anything before that).

I swear, I need to start setting that thing to start 5 minutes early when it comes to ABC shows, they seem to be the worst about starting earlier than indicated.

As for the rest of the episode. I thought Peter was the wolf at first (I was pretty certain they were going to go with a werewolf angle), but when Ruby found David in the woods I wondered if they really decided to twist it and make her the wolf.

I'm also thinking that if anyone is going to 'remember' before the end of the season, it's probably going to be David. It seems like he might be halfway there already.

I'd agree about David, but.... He didn't recognize snow in the woods either... So I think, like Catherine, the queen has his heart

I just really hope season 2 includes more villains. The evil queen and rumple shouldn't be connected to everyone. Bring back maleficent!

Okay so Dr. Whale is not big bad wolf...what are the options.

a. Whale = Monstro, the whale from Pinocchio
b. Whale = He is a villainous fairy tale character having to do with the sea or water.
c. Whale = He is a villainous fairy tale character having to with large amounts of money, from the gambling term Whales being high rollers with large cash sums.
d. Whale = is a doctor (would tie in with money)...doctors know about scientific things such as chemistry...Wizards were a sort of medieval chemist (alchemists), perhaps he is some fairy tale Wizard.

any thoughts
