ABC's Once Upon a Time

Doubt it. Some people already threw hissy fits at including Midas, a Greek myth, into a show about fairy tale characters. Shoehorning in comic book characters wouldn't fit and would likely be a big turn off to viewers, who can tell the difference between comics and fairy tales.

I think that depends entirely on how much the writers actually cared that people threw a hissy fit.

Hw did the jail key end up in the blanket? I think I missed something.

I never noticed how freaking big Rumple's eyes are until this ep. Really freaky. Looks like hes got the power of true love now. Wonder how hes going to use it.

We don't know...but i'm betting Mr. Gold left it there.

Every time I see Red in the fairytale land I gasp at how beautiful she is. She looked pretty nice in the restaurant when she asked for her job back.

I loved how she embraced the wolf and defended Charming. That intro though was a bit off because it felt like it was right after the last episode but there was obviously more development because Red was okay with being the wolf.

Our #OnceUponATime season finale title: "A Land Without Magic" -- so excited for y'all to see it!

I'm pretty sure this hasn't been picked up for a 2nd season yet but if Grimm did then Once has got to picked up.

It's the highest rated new drama on ABC. It's gonna get picked up.

TV Line:
Exclusive: ABC Prepping Early Renewals for Grey's, Castle, Revenge, Once and 5 Others

ABC is on the verge of issuing formal early renewals to nearly a dozen scripted series, including freshman hits Once Upon a Time and Revenge and established players Modern Family and Grey’s Anatomy.

Although an ABC rep declined to comment, TVLine has learned that the network’s prelim pickup list also includes Castle, Suburgatory, Last Man Standing, Happy Endings, The Middle.

Cougar Town and Private Practice, meanwhile, remain question marks. Ditto midseason entries GCB and Missing. (The fate of Private Practice, ironically, likely hinges on the ratings performance of another Shonda Rhimes drama, the soon-to-debut Scandal.)

Considered long-shots for next fall are Body of Proof, Pan Am and (the possibly Netflix-bound) The River, although a final decision probably won’t come down on those fence-riders until the May upfronts. If cut loose, they would join the already-axed Charlie’s Angels, Man Up and Work It.

The Grey’s renewal comes as ABC continues to negotiate new deals with original castmembers Ellen Pompeo, Patrick Dempsey, Justin Chambers, Sandra Oh and Chandra Wilson.
Oh, hells yeah.

Not surprised. Now they can bring in Ariel. They better not screw it up.

Wouldn't be surprised if they moved revenge to Sunday since that is their female power block and they need to fill dh's shoes since everything else is failing.

But I thought body of proof was still pulling in good numbers?? Atleast 8-10mill an episode?

Time to end greys though.

Grey's had a nice little comeback for awhile there, but yeah, that time has passed. Time to call it a day.

Does The River have a decent sized audience for Netflix ? I doubt it

I'm glad that abortion GCB is probably going the way of the dinosours.

I thought it has been doing very well in ratings. Hate to see it go but will definitely continue to watch it while it lasts.

GCB is great, though it'd be much better suited for HBO or something where people are less prudish

Right now its averaging 7mill.

Which is only slightly lower what it debuted to, which was about 7.5, so if anything, it's reasonably stable, which is a positive for it. It's not amazing ratings, but they're not horrible either. I'd be more surprised to see it canceled than renewed.

I really tried to like it but it was just to much of a cliche for me to get into and that's coming from someone who followed Leslie Bibbs career since Popular was on.

I think bibbs character is the problem. She is to normal for that out there setting and everyone else is more interesting then her fighting against them to be normal.

Hell with GCB, I'm just glad Happy Endings is coming back.

Roger Daltrey was surely wasted as the Caterpillar but other than that it was a pretty good episode. Hopefully they will revisit The Mad Hatter again, he definitely has a good reason to return in a future episode.

I LOVED THIS EPISODE!

also did anyone else catch the "Oz" door (it was made of curtains next to the Looking Glass Mirror into Wonderland), it was green curtains, and had 2 Oz logos (big "O" with a "Z" inside it)

I'd Imagine there could be a Neverland Door as well...

this episode really opened the door to an infinite realm of worlds... ranging from fairytale, to worlds based on Frankenstien/Dracula, to worlds based on Sherlock Holmes... and to possibly even a comic book world. The Hat was really a great idea to keep this show explaining infinite possibilities.

It would be cool to see a red door with 616 on it. :awesome:

Agreed. It expanded the universe brilliantly and necessarily.
