I hope the preview is right in indicating that Rumple and the Queen are heading toward their own private war.

Also have to say that ABC did a real **** job of covering up [blackout]Graham's death[/blackout], if they were even trying to cover it up. :o

Is it me or in this episode has no one made a deal with Rumpelstiltskin ? It took long enough for one

You got to realize this is the first season , so you should expect a lot of these details to occur in order to build up to what happens ..

Good episode.
Creepy Carlyl digging stuff in the wood was unexpected but funny.

When Regina and Emma started fighting there was movement in my nether regions.

Why couldn't V have a fight between Erica and Anna like this show did with Emma and Regina. :csad: That part was awesome though. Nice mid-season finale.

Don't get sassy. There were no deals in Snow Falls either. :o

I've read that the ratings for this show have been terrible lately. I hope this show doesn't get cancelled.

Terrible is a bit of a stretch. The ratings have dipped, especially in the last two weeks, but even this week was only a bit shy of 9 million. It hasn't reached Pan Am's **** numbers, thank God.

It is interesting though, that the show has dipped so much in the past two weeks, both episodes that have aired in december. Maybe there is something to this not airing new episodes during the holidays rule.

Oh please, not even close. Most new shows this season wish they're pulling those numbers. They've only fallen within 2-3 million viewers from the average they were pulling for the first few episodes. There have been shows that lost that or more, a WEEK. See Pan Am like before. And other shows would kill to have those numbers be their series low. There's tons of competition this time of year, sports and holiday themed programming especially, which is more than likely why.

Well, that was an interesting death. He was the sheriff and therefore a main character, and his alter ego is a known character, the huntsman, but not a major character, like Snow White or the Queen. So, in other words, a good strategic death by the writers.

And, although those that guess huntsman for the sheriff initially were correct, those of us claiming connection to the wolf in the first episode, were at lease close. :cwink:

He's the Boone Caryle of the series. Important to the fans but not important to the plot.

He's also the Boone Carlyle of the series in that all the female viewers want to bone him, and will continue to ***** endlessly now that he's gone.

But Boone was the most annoying character on the show and while the Sheriff wasn't quite as bad he was still a bit of a jerk.

Yep December should be repeats . The Giants/Cowboys game was more important as a Giants fan ... 2 big market popular football teams in a playoff type game hurts

Well the show is on hiatus from now until January 8th.

Jan 8th is actually quite an early start after xMas.

Yeah i agree. That isn't to bad of a hiatus and i think it is right to not start any earlier because the Sunday before that is January 1st so people probably won't be watching this show on new years and the Sunday before that is Christmas day. So that is only what three weeks off and two of them are actually the day of the holiday.

There Is going to be a Once Upon a Time marathan on January 1.So they are going to be giving attention to the show.

From TV Line:
Once Upon a Time Casts Amy Acker as Love Interest for
– Get Exclusive Details
Once Upon a Time has dipped into the Whedonverse yet again to fill a guest-starring role.

Amy Acker, who had roles on both Joss Whedon’s Angel and Dollhouse, will visit ABC’s fantastical freshman drama as a romantic interest for both Grumpy (of the Seven Dwarves) and his surly Storybrooke counterpart, Leroy, in a late winter episode that delves into the grouch’s backstory.

Lee Arenberg (Grumpy/Leroy) cheered the casting via Twitter, saying that on Friday he was “living the dream” working opposite both Acker and Ginnifer Goodwin (aka Snow White/Mary Margaret) — though it was not clear in which of the show’s two worlds their scenes were taking place.

Well, TVLine can exclusively report that Acker will play characters in both Storybrooke and the fairy tale world that was.

Earlier this fall, Once cast Buffy the Vampire Slayer alumna Emma Caulfield as the Blind Witch from Hansel and Gretel lore; she will appear in this season’s ninth episode (get exclusive scoop here). Of course, Buffy/Angel/Dollhouse vet Jane Espenson is a writer/producer for Once.

Acker’s TV resume also includes ABC’s Happy Town and No Ordinary Family, and last month’s Lifetime movie Dear Santa. Ironically, she will also guest-star this winter on NBC’s Grimm, which like Once (though in a decidedly different way) revolves around fairy tale characters.

Once Upon a Time, having aired its seventh episode/fall finale this month, resumes its freshman run Jan. 8.
Glad they're giving backstory to even the background characters.

That sounds interesting. I would like them to include more characters in each episode.
