Activision & Nickelodean team up for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles videogame

Can't wait to play this tomorrow. Hopefully its as good as it looks

It'll never stop as long as companies keep making money off of these little exclusive deals. So yea, its not stopping, ever. Sony does the same thing.

i know mate its just the sheer stupidity and annoyance of it. i can maybe understand a weeks delay but an entire month

I'm enjoying it. The camera is really terrible and the controls are a bit clunky but I'm able to look past those so far

Are those team moves, as seen in the trailer, easy to pull off?

Team moves are eaasy. Hold right trigger and press a. Yeah there's a story and mulitplayer. It's just too close and it doesn't pull back far enough like Batman does.

The camera isn't too bad if you are in an open space, it's when you move close to objects in the environment that it can become an issue.

The combat is a little tricky to get used to at first, but once you've spent some time in the dojo you'll be pulling off 30-40 hitters like its nothing.

After the first level I'm deff enjoying the game, it's hard to complain seeing as how there is a lot of game here and it's only 15 bux. The combat is super satisfying and each turtle really does have their own style. I'm digging Mikey the most due to his speed. Raph is straight brutal tho, he's got a really cool style.

Are there any acrobatics involved for traversing the levels, like in the TMNT Movie tie-in, which was all Prince of Persia-ish?

Oh yea. If you hold the sprint button and the jump button the turtles will flip and parkour over whats ever in front of em.

How is the local co-op?

I cant say as I havent tried it yet. Im gonna go out on a limb as say its prob a little confusing. Sometimes theres a lot of action on screen and it gets difficult to know where everything is and i bet thats compounded by a few ppl sharing the same screen.

I kind of wish that you could choose to play with just your.turtle if you are doing single player. I'm not a fan of all the turtles on screen as well as all the enemies. It's hard to tell what's going on at times.

That would be awful if the other Turtles weren't there. They typically don't go out on missions by themselves. It wouldn't fit the lore at all. I think a section or two like that wouldnt be a bad idea, but no, for the most part, the 4 Turtles need to be together.

I agree though all the chaos can get a bit distracting. When that happens I tend to fall back a bit and let a few enemies come to me.

Interesting. I'll try out the demo, and see if I dig what I see.

I really could go for a good Ninja Turtles game, too.

Oh, there's a demo? Good, then I can at least try the game, while I wait for another whole month. I hope the PS3 allows custom tracks. Found the perfect track to play. :D

I could careless about lore or any of that. The game itself would be more when you're in single player if the other turtles weren't there. At least give the option. It would be unfortunate to not be able to the team moves but I'd have no problem sacrificing that for a better game. also if you're playing with just 2 people, I'd rather only 2 turtles are on screen. I just do not like the unneccessary computer controlled allies. Multiplayer is pretty fun, still way too much chaos but its enjoyable to see all 4 turtles being controlled by people. Leo is by far my favorite. He's the leader for a reason. The voices are pretty spot on except Raph, he's not that great. Right now I'd say this game is an easy 8/10. Few complaints but the fun factor outweighs it all and its a pretty big game for only 15 bucks. Great deal. And an excellent end to a surprisingly weak summer of arcade.

No, just no. The turtles are a team and need to be together. Thats part of the charm. They could of done a better job with the camera work, but they made the right call keeping the 4 Turtles out there together.
