Activision & Nickelodean team up for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles videogame

No, just no. The turtles are a team and need to be together. Thats part of the charm. They could of done a better job with the camera work, but they made the right call keeping the 4 Turtles out there together.

And it's also still a game. I don't think many had ever an issues that you played alone in past games, if you didn't have any local multiplayer friends around. I definitely think it should have been an option. Just alone to give players an added challenge by taking on hordes of Ninjas all on your own.

The challenge mode proves my point. That is so much better than all the combat situations because there's only one

I did. I always hated that in the old games. You'd go from a 'cutscene' with all 4 turtles to gameplay with just one. Lame. Also, it is kinda up to you. Your AI brothers dont do much other than act as distractions. Its still primarily up to the user to KO all the enemies around you. It wasnt an accident that the devs kept the 4 Turtles out there at the same time and it was the right call. Much better "Turtles" experience with the 4 out there together.

If you wanna fight alone, go to the dojo or challenge. So the option is there, to an extent. But on missions, it should always be the 4 and it is.

And thats what the challenge mode is for. Core gameplay though should of always been the whole team.

Unless you play Raph. Then you should always have the option to solo the whole game.

Haha maybe, how many times throughout the new show does only one Turtle go out into battle tho? I'll give you a hint, its not often. Like i said, if you absolutely have to have the solo experience with only one Turtle, you have that in the Arcade/Challenge mode, so the option is there. The story portion of the game should be just the way it is, with all brothers fighting simultaneously. Red Fly knew what they were doing when it comes to that aspect of the game.

How are the boss fights?

Iv only fought Karai and she's basically just a much more skilled foot soldier, so im not sure she really counts as a "boss fight"

Tried the Demo, and the game really is fun. Takes some time to get a hang of the controls, because you actually get a good amount of options to handle the combat. And I used the 2K3 TMNT soundtrack. Made the Ninja combat completely awesome. :awesome:

But I hope the game will get patched. Because there need to be at least 2 things fixed, so I can enjoy it even more. Zoom out the camera more during combat, and for the love of god, give me the option to invert the camera controls.

The co op is super fun. Thats deff the way to experience the game, but man its tough. Myself and 3 other ppl just tried twice to beat the second level and failed and once all 4 turtles go down, it kicks you back to the lobby for you to do the whole damn thing over again. Not easy.

I like a challenge. :raph:

The more I play the more I find that I'm just sticking with it because its the turtles. The camera is awful, the combat is decent though it may be the worst of the Batman copycats. And nothing just feels right. Although I'm still finding fun in it and want this development group to make a fully fledged big budget Turtles games. They have the right idea

A couple reviews.

DEN of GEEK!

Glitches aside, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows has many of the elements from the original TMNT arcade game that made it so enjoyable, while adding a few new elements of its own into the mix. Teaming up with your friends online to beat up on the foot clan is highly enjoyable, and finding the perfect combo to help you defeat a horde of enemies is a rewarding experience. The game is highly re-playable, and you'll definitely get your money's worth with this one.

All-in-all, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows offers a pleasant ride down memory lane with many of the same components you enjoyed from the original NES release plus tons of new enhancements and features. TMNT:OOTS offers you the chance to team up with your friends to once again take down the foot clan and all those that stand in the way for an overall worthwhile experience. If you are a huge TMNT fan like me, then pick up Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows today because you won't regret it.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows is a must play if you're a fan of the franchise or if you grew up addicted to the older arcade and console games. Yes, you may hit a glitch every now and then and the camera can be a pain at times, but these issues are nothing compared to the ridiculous amount of entertainment it'll offer as you and your friends beat your opponents with an absurdly fun variety of slick moves. There's more than enough content and depth here for dedicated gamers, yet it's also totally accessible for someone who just wants to run around and button mash without worrying about elaborate combos and more (these people will probably want to throw their controller during certain boss battles, though). The game is far from perfect but it definitely delivers on its promise of feeling like an updated classic and that's commendable. There's pretty much no reason not to buy this if you like the Ninja Turtles and you enjoy hitting bad guys in the face.

Yea I'm having trouble with the counters. It's not nearly as responsive as the Arkham games. Like if u are in the middle of an attack and a dude takes a swipe at ya, it seems you can't cancel out of that attack.

I agree on the camera as well. Too often it gets in the way. When everything is working tho and it's u and 3 buddies taking down the foot, the game is really solid

Jesus Christ. I just loaded up the trial version and I had the song they used for the main menu music "playing" in my head before I fired it up. Weird.

Do you have to down load this game for Xbox live .Cause the guy at the video game store, told me you have to down load it.

Do they use any more music from the old movies in the game?

that's what i've been wondering. especially because in that last trailer they used the Turtle Power song from the 1st live action film.

would be hilarious if they used Vanilla Ice's "Ninja Rap" song, lol

Just discovered that I still have 20 bucks on my Pre-paid Credit Card left. Thinking about getting this on Steam. Does anyone else play this on PC?
