Back when he was cast for CW, either the Russo Bros or Feige said he did some standing backflips during one of the audition scenes that made them think he was perfect for the character.

It's great hearing he has the agility and moves of a real Spidey. I love it when the actor has some of the traits of the underlying character they're playing.

It's great hearing he has the agility and moves of a real Spidey. I love it when the actor has some of the traits of the underlying character they're playing.

It also helps that he's kinda small and he looks like he could be 15. I believe the other shortunners was the kid from Maze Runner whose nearly 30 and that kid, Asa Butterfield (whose same age as Holland but is 6'0 or 6'1).

Downey's been SO GOOD in welcoming and bringing Brie in to the fold. It's really heartwarming and endearing.

She seems like a strong gal who can take it but I'm sure all of this is so daunting for her. Besides the attack of the whiny trolls there's also the fact that she's not only a total newbie that's joining a group and a fan base who have bonded for almost a decade but she's also being touted as the "new face" of the franchise (a replacement in the minds of some). I'm sure that's been met with some coldness and maybe even hostility so I'm sure his warmth towards her is really helpful.
