He goes away like for two hours to drive somewhere with Selvig and relive his vision to find out more. That's all. That lightning thing is from the vision too, and as I've said before, these visions are so weird and confusing, you can't really tell much about what's happening.

Nope, they don't fight anymore after he's been awoken. Thor just spends some time with Vision fighting against the robot army, not with Hulk.

Thor's in a car again?

Because everyone expect great things from the movie before watching it

I will still watch this film on the first day when it's coming to my place, solely for the action scenes
As for the character development and the story, the excitment is mostly gone

And I'm glad Joss Whedon is not directing another Avengers movie again
I always thought the first film is good, but not great
And this one seems worse the first one based on the spoilers

It looks like some characters are clearly wasted

I'm glad he's off the project too. I appreciate his work, but he's getting a bit hackish with how he treats characters. Russo Brothers will bring redemption to the saga :yay: They can make an entertaining action movie with some depth and multiple characters without making it seem like "comedy-hour"...I'm looking at your Whedon and Gunn. :whatever:

See someone else said there was no real fight against vision. Also, I assume thor had a vision about vision. But why would he throw his hammer at him? Right after bringing him to life? What's the context of him lifting the hammer?

Well, yeah, that's actually my own post you quoted. Right after they bring him to life, it's not clear on which side he stands, because he has JARVIS' matrix as well as Ultron's. I'll say it for the sixth time: You don't have all the details after the first watch. They have a short battle after Vision awakes from what I remember. Thor doesn't use his hammer on him, from what I remember. After they decide, they'll go to the twin's city to save it, Vision just kind of picks it up and gives it to Thor, and everyone is staring.

Hawkeye was kneeling, shielding a kid with his body. Picking up them both would probably have been too much for even Pietro, and clearly he didn't want to choose.

It'd have been awesome (though a bit much) if QS ran in front of the bullets and a bullet-time slo-mo effect began, with him going all out catching the bullets. He stops and smiles, but is caught off-guard and is hit...but he isn't killed. That'd show that he has some heroism, but he's still a bit brash.

Yeah. He's also wearing a hoodie. It seems to become an inside joke for the Avengers. Except for Clint, they all went with the crappy hoodie disguise at some point.

Ughhhhhhhhh

Nitpick. Still.

But did Flash die...? :sly:

Yes.

I didn't know you said that six times. I don't really have the time to scroll through the entire thread, my apologies.
Your last sentence, I can't recall if someone said it specifically, but I coulda sworn I read someone saying Vision smacks Thor's hammer away then throws it at him,. So that's not how it happens; why do you think that was misinterpreted?

I guess either they'll have an emotional reunion or there'll be a line drawn under it in IW depending on whether the Russo's like the ship or not!

I can't see Banner forgiving her for that. I'm just praying that the Russos hate this relationship, let Widow move on to something better and give Bruce a great story in IW.

i don't really see what this has do with anything, it's not Mark's fault that the MCU likes to pretend TIH never happened

This was aimed mostly at Whedon but also Mark based on his comments in this weeks interviews. I believe Mark said that he encouraged Whedon to go ahead with the Banner/Widow romance?

I agree that Marvel are the key players in dropping nearly everything from TIH but I was disappointed by Marks comments and I'm not bashing him at all.

Are people really bashing him on social media? What are they saying?

The point made earlier in this thread is great. Things in writing aren't not always indicative of how it will play out subjectively for everyone.

Thank you for bringing some intelligence to this board. Geez. This is the first time I've seen a forum react to a big movie. It might be my last:cwink:

So many people overreacting based on personal accounts of a film they haven't seen yet. I can't wrap my head around that logic. And as you say. What if these were the initial reactions to the Avengers:

Hawkeye was useless and basically a robot. Cap was weak. Thor was barely relevant. It's all about Tony. Chitauri didn't even put up a fight. Coulson dies.

Hmm...I could only imagine how everyone's "hype" would be decreasing by the day:whatever:

Schnepp said that, but on AMC heroes yesterday he said a lot of what he saw was cut.

So basically an epic fight between Thor and Vision was cut.

This is the internet. We're SUPPOSED to sit behind our keyboards and complain. Didn't you get the memo? :sus

Not that, I'm just repeatedly saying that it's impossible to behold all details after one watch and that some things I can't tell you for certain. Like that Vision scene. Could be, Thor throws his hammer at him, could be he's not. I don't recall that for certain. I can only tell you about the end of the scene where Vision just picks up the thing and gives it to him and everyone is dumbstruck.

DARKPHEONIX82!!! Some questions for ya!

>What is the final form of Ultron? Is it that Ultimate Ultron form?

>How does the final battle play out?

>During the final fight, does Ultron himself give the Avengers a run for their money as opposed to Loki in the first film (who got absolutely wrecked within seconds by Hulk...)?

Also, people are asking so many detailed questions to DarkPhoenix that are really hard to answer when you saw the film once two days ago. Can we all relax with the questions?

In 15 days max, everyone will be able to form their own opinions then we can have a real discussion.

Sounds like they cut a lot of Thor's stuff. I guess Vision will take up the mantle of being Thor now. :sus

I still think offing QS so early was a waste. His powers were unique to the MCU. So many cool scenes he could have been in, but he's been "Whedon'd".

I highly doubt that. He was the only one who said it was a fight. He could have exaggerated and now he's covering his behind.

Give me a picture and I might be able to tell you. I'm more into the heroes than the villains thing and robots bore me, so don't nail me down on these kind of details.

I've pretty much described the final battle here, I think, you might want to scroll back a bit. It's mostly the Avengers evacuating the twin's city while fighting Ultron's robots, Ultron lifts the city into the air to make it crash on Earth and kill all life on the planet. Thor destroys the city while it's still in the air when everyone is gone, and Vision in the very end kills Ultron.

It's more the effects of his doing they're fighting. The robots, securing the civilians. They're not really that much in danger, mostly because they're having each other's back.

You'll find out within the next few weeks. It's not her job to tell you.

Do you remember how thor reacted? Smile, shock? I assume thor has a vision about vision or something, he must expect the worthiness.. Somewhat?

Phoenix, how's the humor in this film? Whedon's humor doesn't click with some of course, and myself sometimes if I were being honest.

Based on spoilers,

  • Cap is almost useless as the same way he was in first film
  • Hulk had a good fight with Hulkbuster, but didn't have much of a long/spectacular fight with Ultron, and he's the supposed the muscle guy to do most dirty work for the team
  • Thor is nerfed again and lost his hammer to an Android created by a villain
  • Quicksilver dies because his power is too cool/useful to the team
  • The big bad guy,Ultron with Vibranium is supposedly less of a threat to Wanda to the team, and his drones are as useless as Chitauri
  • Tony is being himself like other MCU films he's in,had great moments to shine but it was to be expected

Aside from Hawkeye, who has his justice after not doing much and being seen as an useless guy in the first film

This film is made to introduce the MCU's first hero couple:loco:

Answered that one too. Thor is just as dumbstruck at the others but tries to play it off with a smile then. Thor knows as little as the others about Vision before they free him, hence why he's attacking the pod first thing when he returns. Because he knows, Vision has a gem in his head and that's his main concern at this point.

I highly doubt that. He was the only one who said it was a fight. He could have exaggerated and now he's covering his behind.

Lol, what why the hell would he lie. He was on a set visit. Schnepp is not a scooper.

Not to mention he was not the only one. Hemsworth even said it in an interview

Hemsworth told IGN during a set visit, it “is their first meeting really. And it's, as you can see, it's conflicted. It's a big fight scene.”
