I suppose, but we still don't know the extent of what the Mind Gem does exactly. Stark finding an AI inside it seemed like such a random convenience

How are we supposed to fully understand what it does when it's his first interaction with it. It is a universe spanning element so it's not like he's going to understand it fully based on the brief interaction he had with it.
