A man and a woman who work together fall in love. They neither fit nor unfit, they are not logical and they dont make sense. If you ask them, they wont know why they fell for each other. There are things they might like of each other, but that doesnt tell the whole tale. In fact, they are not even the kind of persona they actually thought would be theyre love. There is nothing more realistic, human and normal than that. It happens. Its life. The rest, is just you people bringing a lot of baggage and prejudice that is of your own making, and therefore, your problem, not Josses. And certainly, not life´s.

We all want things to happen, but its time to judge the film for what it wants to be, and not for what you want it to be, and certainly, not to reassure your own believes. Even, who knows, to challenge them. You might even enjoy it.
valid points.

however, it is up to Joss to write something that works with the source material and something the fans will accept, not just inserting romance into a film to fulfill his own fantasies.

hopefully he pulls it off! someone who saw the film said that the Widow/Hulk romance was executed very well in AoU.

I can see the romance working, although I don't expect it to be too full-on.

sounds like Mark himself proposed Bruce/Nat to Joss. he even made up their backstory :woot:

Heh, nice to see that according to her, Johansson was definitely not playing it that way in Avengers and it seems she was a bit blindsided by this siiiigh.

I just don't like it when female superheroes get relegated to love interests, that's why im against wonder woman hooking up with anyone in the JL, I'm no feminist per se, but why does every female character need to be a hook up for someone?

They are the Avengers, friendship, mutual respect and all that....why complicate matters? Is the only way to get a female demographic by introducing romance to the proceedings, how archaic.

Black Widow didn't hook up with anyone in TWS or any of the other films. I'm fine if she ends up growing to like someone and hooks up with them.

I thought GOTG did better with women than men? There really wasn't any hook ups there.

Lovely post. Some of the audience wants nothing but action, be it fun and bloodless or dark and gorey. I like my action relieved by a little comedy and, if it fits, some romance. Either or both as long as there is balance.

These characters are going to interact in a variety of ways; romance is one of many options.

I didn't like the idea of Nat/Bruce at first. Now I'm intrigued. Both are terrific actors and I want to see how it plays out. I don't see a happy ending, but i guess exploration of the characters is the point.

It did better with women because of Chris Pratt.

Really?

I know girls that loved it, but I can personally name a few guys who were turned comic book fans and MCU fans because of that movie.

I'm pretty sure the broken shield/everyone dead scene shown at Comic Con is Tony's vision, although I don't think Thanos was there.

correct me if I'm wrong! :)

Well from what I heard you could also visibly make out the bottom of these in that teaser.

huh I hadn't heard that! guess we'll find out after Monday's premiere

Tony has a dream of a possible future or a vision amused by something/someone?

You just proved my point.

But this isn't real life its a movie and this relationship isn't a natural occurance - it was written by Joss! 99% of real life relationships are based on similarities, shared beliefs etc. and these two characters have virtually nothing in common based on what we have seen so far.

I'm not a 'shipper' of Clintasha or Captasha, and I am a Hulk/Banner fan. My objection is based on what I perceive as zero chemistry in the first movie and how this will effect Banners story in this movie and in the future. This storyline appears out of nowhere in the first scene of the movie and looks very forced to fufil someones agenda.

Exactly. There has been nothing in the movies or comics linking these two characters and he has chosen to write a romance between such different characters. Many fans don't like this romance for a range of reasons. I pray this romance ends in this movie and doesn't continue into phase 3.

It's ok to not like everything offered by Marvel and not be accused of prejudice etc or have your views dismissed as some sort of sulk because someone doesn't get what they want. We are all Marvels customers and all points of views matter.

Seems like Nick Fury brings out the
helicarrier
at some point in the film.
Might be the original
64
that appeared in The Avengers.

I hope that means that one of the people standing at the table behind Fury is Coulson (the other person looks female and is probably Hill?).

No that movie still did better with men. It just had a higher percentage of women who watched compared to the other MCU movies.

Jeremy Latcham (producer for AoU) pretty much confirmed we will see a new Avengers roster by the end that will include either War Machine, Falcon or some other cameo.

Question: War Machine and Falcon have been such a big part of these past few movies. How come they aren't brought in to join the Avengers?

"Well, the Avengers' roster is always changing, and that's part of the fun of the comics. It's one of the promises that we want to play with in this film, that there are always going to be new characters [joining] the team and old characters leaving the team. There's a continually changing roster. That's something we definitely play with in this film, and you might get to see cameos of War Machine or other people. I mean, we want to make this world as lively as possible, and we've set people up in the universe. They exist. We want to deal with that where we can."

I'd like to see it again at some point.

Have we found out get which Avenger kills Ultron? It will most likely be a team effort.

would you be mad if they defeat him exactly like this?

Nothing confirmed yet. I think it will be only a few members of the team who will kill Ultron - Vision, SW and QS definitely to showcase the new characters.
