“One Door Closes” – War comes to Coulson’s doorstep in a way he never anticipated as shocking revelations are brought to light, and Skye struggles to control her new abilities but will soon make a decision that irrevocably changes her life, on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” Tuesday, March 31 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET) on the ABC Television Network.



“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” stars Clark Gregg as Director Phil Coulson, Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May, Brett Dalton as Grant Ward, Chloe Bennet as Agent Skye, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons, Nick Blood as Lance Hunter and Adrianne Palicki as Bobbi Morse.

Yeah, I get more out of the casting for a particular episode. Hartley is apparently coming back to life, or maybe it's just a flashback. What changes Skye's life irrevocably , my guess is she leaves Shield and is later whisked away by Gordon, which could explain his appearance in this episode. This leads in to next episode where Skye meets "the enigmatic, Lincoln" according to the synopsis of the following episode. It's been hinted at their may be a relationship. They're probably going to have sex.

Lucy Lawless has to be a flashback or else every single "death" would lose all impact on this show just like in the books. I pray they stop this revolving door death crap.

I wonder if the Inhuman teleporter will know Skye is on the run and will contact her now?

Posted in the other thread, but I wonder if the gloves Simmons made can't be removed once put on and have a negative effect on Skye, since Simmons wants to "cure her".

I was thinking last night after watching Skye running through the woods in the after-show trailer that it looked like a good time for him to show up. And here it is.

I'm curious to see how they tie the three main story arcs back together.

Yup, that's pretty much how I feel this'll go as well. The question is, why wait so long to get her when it's clear he's aware of her at least since "One of Us"? Feels like a deliberate strategy by him and/or his group of Inhumans, like they knew her human "family" would eventually alienate her and took their time because they wanted that to happen, so that when they finally come for her she'd be ready to cut all ties she had with her former life.

Though to be fair, Gordon (the teleporting Inhuman) seems to be heavily inspired by The Reader, especially with the short hair, no eyes appearance.

Yeah, but Gordon's exposure to the mist took his eyes when it gave him his powers. Reader's sight was taken from him because the Inhumans feared what he could do with his powers... bit of a difference.

Yea, but the fact that he's an inhuman, can teleport and visually very similar leads me to believe that he's definitely the MCU's version of Reader. Almost every powered character on AOS (think Quake and Deathlok) have pretty drastically altered origin stories, etc.

I'd like to wait to see if he has Reader's other power at all, though. But he has a similar appearance, shares on of Reader's abilities (although his is much stronger than Readers) and he fills a very similar role. So I think it's quite plausible that he's supposed to be Reader.

Until they say otherwise that he isn't Reader, I'm inclined to believe that he is MCU Reader.
