Not related to anything but
Have any of you guys been on shield forums on television without pity?
I swear , their hate ***** for Skye is rock solid.
It's unbelievably ridiculous
There are some people HERE that don't like her either. I'm not one, I had a dislike for Hand tho. She just OOZED punch me, I'm Hydra

Isn't every character on every show hated on that site?

Well took me a while to warm to her but I don't think I ever hated her, she was more of an annoyance

so....what did everyone thought of the ending where may's mom mentions Maria?? :D

So Triplett has some lineage to live up to since he's related to one of the Howling Commandos.

The people on TWP's problem with Skye (I'm a member of those boards btw) is that they perceive her as the show's "special snowflake." The show constantly goes on and on about how awesome she is, how "special" she is, and she gets a ton of focus. The problem is that she's not really an interesting enough character for many people to justify all of that attention/praise and she hasn't done enough to show WHY everyone loves her. I don't completely agree with those complaints, but I agree with some of them and can definitely she why it annoys some people.

Gabe Jones perhaps? Oh I really hope that it turns out that Gabe was the husband that Peggy Carter mentioned in TWS (they got together in the comics). Trip being the grandson of Captain America's wartime love would be deliciously awesome.

i'm the opposite. i really loved Victoria Hand. and i still can't stand Skye. but i no longer think she needs to be killed off.

Gabe Jones is more likely. It would have been interesting to see Derek Luke aged to about 100, but alas I think that Gabe has been long deceased in present day.

An article at Canada dot com says this is renewed

I don't think that's the case since in TWS, they showed Peggy with another man and a child in what looked to be a family portrait.

Gabe probably married a random black woman after Cap had been frozen.

You can tell that Paxson is really having tons of fun after Garrett is revealed to be a Hydra agent. He is a real pleasure to watch, and makes me wish that they will not kill him off quickly because I want to see him as a constant thorn on Coulson and his team's side into next season.

Last time I saw the film, it looked almost like both photos were with her children; a girl and a boy with no specific husband pictured*

*I think this might also have to do with her possible tv series about the early days of SHIELD, better not to have a specific actor in mind for the husband in case that does get filmed.

He's signed on to do a History Channel miniseries on the Texas Rangers. Who knows how long that's going to shoot.

Well there's that annoying obstructionist side of Hill's we know and hate. Unless it's another fakeout and she's on Coulson's side.

You and I do seem to agree that Nash really *was* The Clairvoyant; but you say that you think Garrett is acting under orders from the real Clairvoyant.....who would that be, if Nash is dead? Do you think Nash staged the shooting? Just curious.
A few others have subsequently touched upon this.

I believe Nash is/was the Clairvoyant and is playing the long con here to completely throw everyone off his tail. While he's currently "dead", I'm thinking Ward shooting him was part of the plan all along and he's counting on his team procuring/solving the GH235 mystery so he can be resurrected. (Out there side theory, but Nash --> MODOK? I know MODOK's more associated with AIM in the comics, but I'll happily accept him being HYDRA-aligned instead.)

So basically, we know that the Clairvoyant is primarily interested in the following:
* Building a super soldier army.
* The GH235 serum, which will revive him, and subsequently any of his fallen troops.
* Whatever Skye turns out to be.
* Assorted powerful weird-science goodies, courtesy of SHIELD, Quinn, aliens and whoever else.

Looks like a pretty solid world domination scheme to me. :)

Tripplet looks to be Gabe Jones' grandson. Peggy's kids, however, looked pretty Caucasian in the photos she had at her bedside. Sadly, I don't think Peggy and Gabe ever got together in this (Marvel) universe.

Well it sounds like ol' Triplett is the grandson of Gabe Jones. Nice connection.

I thought that was cool. Perhaps Gabe Jones is his grandfather and his grandmother is Nia Jones the mother of Nick Fury Jr in the comics.

all the meme in the world will never have the badassery of this gif.

agreed..if redford had said it standing up, that would have been great as well!~

Seems totally reasonable to me. I always thought it was fishy to bring someone like Brad Dourif in for one two-minute scene and then kill him off.

Agreed.
And I don't think Nash/Clairvoyant would be aligned with HYDRA at all. I've said for many months that I think The Clairvoyant's faction is a *third* party to the SHIELD-HYDRA war. And yes, I believe AIM is the likely identity of that third faction. And yes, I think there's a very good chance that if you plug all that into the equation (and factor in the fact that Nash would likely want to shed his useless human body, and experience Coulson's resurrection firsthand, and the fact that Arnim Zola has already learned how to transfer his consciousness into computers and/or robots), that there's a damn good chance that Thomas Nash will use all that to become MODOK in Season 2 AOS.

Seems totally reasonable to me. I always thought it was fishy to bring someone like Brad Dourif in for one two-minute scene and then kill him off.

Yeah, that's the thing. You don't hire A-list talent (and face it, Brad Dourif is one of the biggest names we've had on the show this year) to act in a role that requires no acting whatsoever. I'm sure we'll see him again. (Hell, practically everybody else showed up again in later episodes, so why not Nash?)

Plus, if Nash was just a patsy, he would'nt have just sat idly by and let these guys with guns frame him. He may be a quadriplegic, but that doesn't mean he's helpless --- he would've tried to communicate his innocence to Coulson *somehow.* Driving around in circles, weird grunting noises, drooling all over Coulson's feet, *something.*

Also, I find the Nash scene intriguing because he talked about "seeing" something from the future that hasn't happened yet --- namely, a force "you can't possibly comprehend" coming back for Coulson and Skye. Sounds very much like the Kree to me, or some other alien power. And he also said that Skye would die (again...?) when that happened. Happens.
