Keonig is back... My brain hurts... That makes no sense... :/

[blackout]Unless Ward killed a LMD or is actually a good guy, which both sound terrible[/blackout]

Well, people were skeptical about Coulson's resurrection, but the ultimate explanation - what we know so far anyway - wasn't overly ludicrous. For a show based on a comic book anyway. Given the inconsistent casting, I sort of hope Koenig is alive somehow so Patton becomes a recurring character on the show. Love that guy.

God, I would love it if the Koenig that Ward killed, was an LMD. Koenig would have gotten suspicious during the lie detector test, and switched places with an LMD, keeping eyes on Ward.

well it looks like he's coming back for the final episode

Perhaps it's his Call of Duty playing brother, in a dual role by Patton Oswalt.

I'm only half kidding.

We don't even know why Koenig is back for the final episode. It could be something unexpected.

probably flashback. But I don't have the bloodlust some fans do so if he's somehow alive that's fine too.

Well, Koenig seemed to be very much dead in the last episode, so if he's back I think there must be another reason. Both Coulson and Skye came back via that mysterious serum, but that serum is gone for good as far as we know, and I don't think he would be revived that way.

I get the feeling if he is, they want it to be a surprise..

I think SLJ might only be a cameo so maybe he doesnt make the list?

Onto the whole Koenig situation:

I'd love the LMD theory to be true, but I just don't see it. I think it'll be a flashback, a recording or some kind of hallucination. So long as its not some pathetic thing where Ward didn't actually kill him/wasn't a bad guy
.

I agree, these descriptions are the ones that get put in TV Guide (am I dating myself? Is TV guide even still a thing?) for casual fans of the show (by casual, I mean the fans who aren't us), and they wan't it to be a big surprise for viewers.

Also, if it wasn't Patton Oswalt or Cobie Smulders, might the guest star Chloe Bennett be gushing about appear in the season finale?

I'm thinking Koenig shows up in some sort of flashback, which is why they have to include him in the cast listing.

They don't have to credit someone for old footage from previous episodes. Bill Paxton was flashbacked too last ep and he didn't get a credit.

It's something new, whether its a new footage flashback, or a video, or his twin brother, or he ended up surviving somehow.

Short interview regarding the final few episodes
http://www.mstarz.com/articles/29609/20140424/marvels-agents-s-h-e-l-d-spoilers-more-details.htm

"'We spent the first chunk of the season establishing 'big S.H.I.E.L.D.,' with helicarriers and bases all over the world,' notes exec producer Maurissa Tancharoen. But as touched on in the first post-Winter Soldier episodes, 'That's stripped away, so we're taking our team on a journey of discovering what their purpose now is. We're putting them through the wringer, and that's only just begun.' Entering sweeps, Ward has commandeered the Bus -- with Skye on board, privately aware of his Hydra agenda -- while May is out to find ex-agent Maria Hill (played by Cobie Smulders, returning April 29), who last was seen on the big screen seeking employ with Tony Stark. '[Hill] is an example of a different way to deal with [the shutdown] - and that may be at odds with how Coulson's dealing with it,' says Whedon. As such, expect 'conversations full of conflict' when the two reunite. Says Tancharoen with a laugh, 'Phil is ready to speak his mind to quite a few people at this point!'"

As for the finale itself:

"The EPs sum up the season ender as 'too big,' to the point that, they joke (?), it's been a struggle to produce. Tancharoen elaborates slightly: 'We'll put some of the things that we've built over the course of this season to bed, as well as tee up mysteries for Season 2.' As for an encore spoiled by a certain Marvel-verse actor, Whedon playfully hedges, 'We don't know anything about that!'"

The season ending is wrote by Jed and Murissia.
My body is not ready.

Can we discuss how West Texan cheerleader Kaminsky gets a credit?

If those are balls of plasma surrounding Skye, the Sarah Garza theory becomes all the more probable.
