Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents of SHIELD TV series for ABC - General Discussion - LEVEL 11 - Part 10

We've had quite a few series finales, and even sometimes more than one when one season finale is written as a series finale but then it's renewed.

At least it won't last 100 seasons like Grey's Anatomy has lasted.

This news has crushed my heart and soul. AoS is a recent obsession for me - I had never watched the show until this year, because I thought it wasn't worth my time. Then, in April, I started watching it on Netflix on a whim, and I've been hooked ever since. I swept through all five seasons on Netflix, am mightily enjoying season 6 - and now I learn that season 7 is to be the last. :csad:

If you go back to thinking it's not worth your time, you won't miss it as much. :o

Nice to see they're ending on a high note.

I lost interest in AoS - I tried watching this season but just couldn't get in to it.
I loved AoS but I think after the whole Inhumans push I just started loosing interest.

I do love all the other Marvel shows though. (except for like 2-3 of them)

7 seasons is a good run. I think it is time the show ends. Glad it will have a finale

To be honest, I’d have been fine if they ended it with 5. Still, 7 seasons is a hell of a run for a show like this.

I remember early on in the show (whenever the Phase Three schedule was announced), I thought I would be happy if the show lasted until Infinity War Part 1. I'm happy with the number of seasons the show got.

Well, there you go, in my opinion the continuity with the Avengers and MCU movies pretty much held up until Infinity War Part 1. I wonder if there is a retcon to clean up the anomalies coming in season 7?

I an just hoping we get to finish the season without SHIELD being wanted by the authorities.

For the last season, I'm going to have to insist on Deathlok becoming a regular or at least have an important role. Can't believe how under used he's been. It will be a nice full circle moment considering Deathlok was the focus of the pilot.

Also Mockingbird needs to be part of the last season too.

As much as people complain about Kevin Feige not caring about the TV side of things, it's the TV side that's the first to just blatantly ignore something the movies do.

That being said, I'm not a fan of over-relying on specific dates or else Spider-Man: Homecoming will destroy everything. As it stands right now, we pretty much have to ignore the Thanos reference last season, so I'm happy also ignoring an off-hand mentioning of the date.

BTW, my personal theory (the snap happened but nobody sees the need to constantly mention it) was weakened significantly by Fitz's return. It occurred to me that he would be ignorant of it and, since every other bit of filling in happened on screen, that would have been the place to mention it as well.

Given that they're filming season 7 now, I'm not expecting any retcon. I think these last two seasons will just sort of exist in their own bubble and that's that.

7 seasons is very respectable, even though I've had issues with the show for the past few. I hope this means I never have to see Daisy Johnson in any more Marvel properties going forward.

Doubt Mockingbird will be since she'll be busy with the Orville and getting divorced.

I just found out they've officially wrapped shooting. So it's too late for me to twitter bomb the show runners. :/ lol

At least get Deathlok in the final ep or something.

Adrianne Palicki and Scott Grimes have wrapped shooting each other? Or the Orville has finished shooting? Or Agents of SHIELD?

If I’m remembering right, a seventh season was ordered well before season six premiered. So I guess they got a jump on production. The finale that just wrapped is the series finale.

I recall it was ordered ages ago, which is why recent news someone posted that this would be the series finale was nothing new at all because we all knew that already.

Agent's of Shield. I've just recently found out it's wrapped. I haven't been keeping up with the bts and I though they hadn't even started shooting season 7.
