I just can't fanthom how they are broaching this subject so early.
The movie won't come out for 4 years, and something like 10 million or less people watch this show regularly.
I'm just wondering how it will be executed and in what capacity.
You can't punish the casual fan and leave them confused with mentions of plot threads that have developed over the years prior to the film but you can't introduce such a big concept and do nothing with it in your show either.
Is next Tuesday really the last episode before the break?
Good god they better not leave us hanging.

G'day,

Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are probably Inhumans.

I rather not have Peter anywhere near earth until a possible Infinity War assist.

I think Chris Pratt could appear in AOS just like Hayley Atwell has. She's never actually interacted with the AOS cast before but only appeared in flashbacks.

Quill could appear in an off world segment relating to the Kree or something in the galaxy. He doesn't have to come back to earth yet.

Idea for a very short cameo:

Coulson & the team are exploring the ruins of Old Attilan, and find some kind of alien interstellar radio transmitter thingy. While they're tuning across the frequencies, trying to figure out how it works, Quill pops up...

Quill: "Hello?" *static* "Hello, who is this?" *static*
Coulson: "Hello? This is Director Coulson, of SHIELD."
Quill: "Who???"
*cuts out to static*
*transmitter stops working*

I loved the Ward spy stuff from this weeks ep, it's amazing where they have gone with that character. I'm also glad we now have a more concrete direction with the carving plotline.

^ Also glad that it appears that the plotline with Coulson and his carvings seems to be done, now replaced with finding the city.

Regarding Quill and his connection to the Kree, I posted this image in the Movies thread but no replies yet. In GotG, when they were talking about Peter's father, is it just me or...

I'VE GOT ISSUES: WHY YOU SHOULD WATCH MARVEL'S AGENTS OF SHIELD

Warning: spoilers for Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD and Captain America: The Winter Soldier are contained within this article!

I will admit that I was not a fan of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD TV show when it first launched. However, things have changed so dramatically from its uneven beginning that it’s now a must-watch TV show. It all changed for me when Captain America: The Winter Soldier hit theaters and my co-workers were crazy excited about how the reveal of Hydra inside SHIELD was affecting the show. I decided to catch up on the show and, sure enough, when I got to episode 16, it was like a brand new Spy vs. Spy story that made the James Bond fan in me as happy as can be.

Granted, it wasn’t that thrilling catching up to episode 16 where the SHIELD hits the fan, but I’m glad I did because the payoff was spectacular. If you haven’t been watching the show, or if you gave up after a few episodes, then here’s the big spoiler that got me watching: Agent Ward is Hydra. The moment Agent Ward reveals himself to be Hydra, it practically becomes a new show -- one filled to the brim with tension that makes you pull your hair out. Hydra could be anywhere! If you liked Battlestar Galactica with its “Who is a Cylon?” game always being played, then you’ll love where SHIELD is at now.

Now in Season 2, the current status quo of the show is all about SHIELD vs. Hydra, but they aren’t exactly on even footing. SHIELD was disbanded and now Coulson and company must rebuild it from the ground up. Yeah, if you’re not watching, Coulson is alive, which is weird, but I’ll get to that in a minute. While SHIELD is scraping to get by with barely any agents, Hydra is an immense force with seemingly endless resources and a super evil man in charge. At first SHIELD was kind of boring because the team had many tools that made their jobs easier -- tech, reinforcements, authority -- but now that they’re struggling against a vastly better equipped organization, there’s a great underdog feel to the show.

There’s a particular episode in Seasons 2 called Face of My Enemy where there’s a full-on spy battle: two SHIELD agents infiltrate a private party and a Hydra agent disguises herself as a member of SHIELD, which sets up several delicate layers of deception. As you can imagine, nothing goes right and the episode becomes a battle of spy gadgets and sabotage, resulting in the biggest thrill I’ve seen on television in quite some time. James Bond would be proud.

Another element that didn’t sit right with me at the start of the show was the lack of diversification. I don’t want to get into a larger discussion of race in today’s media with this point, but suffice to say that with Marvel taking such huge steps forward by making their comics reflect the real world with Hispanic, black, Asian and Middle Eastern characters in prominent roles, it felt like SHIELD was behind the times. However, in Season 2 the cast evolves into one filled with people of not only different races but nationalities as well. It just feels right for a spy organization to have an international team from varying backgrounds so they are prepared to adapt to any situation.

The last major improvement to SHIELD is that they’re way better about moving along the big overarching mysteries that the audience wants to know more about. How Coulson came back to life and the consequences of those means is the main throughline of the show. Believe it or not, the showmakers have delved deep to create an intriguing concept to how it all happened, and the mysteries surrounding it have grown into something much bigger than just Coulson. Already by Episode 7 of Season 2 we received a huge game-changing answer and there’s still 15 episodes to go. Plus, there's theories that the revelations are going to play a big part in an upcoming Marvel movie, making the show feel more like a proper Marvel Cinematic Universe companion series than ever before. Yes, the show got off to a slow start, but now it's an unmissable piece of TV that shouldn't be missed by anyone who loves Marvel's movies, James Bond, or fun. You don't hate fun, do you?

Last year, they mentioned a Dr Vaughn several times so I assumed it would be Wendell Vaughn's dad but that hasn't come up yet. Still, the bracelet that turns him into Quasar could involve Peter or maybe they have to involve Peter's grandfather in an episode and there is a short scene to remind the audience who he is.

Peter's dad can't be Kree because the Xandarians said the genetic composition was something ancient that they werent familiar with. They would be very familiar with Kree DNA. They were just at war with them recently.

That's what I was wondering. The scan of Peter looks to have blue skin, white hair and a light at his chest. Is the resemblance just a coincidence?

might be a visual easter egg that has nothing to do with the direction they're planning on taking the story.

besides, that image was supposed to be Peter, not his dad.
it's their version of an MRI image, i guess. not supposed to reflect the individual's actual appearance.

I dont think its literal. I think the scan is blue because its a hologram and the glow in his chest is the "ancient dna/power" its also bald... so I dont see hair. Its just a basic human shape

Right, they were talking about his dad, while the scan of Peter looks like Genis Vell.

Anyway, you're right, it's probably just an easter egg.

Yeah, pretty much what I was going to post (along with the phrase "yes, it's a coincidence."

Not an easter egg. Easter eggs are SUPPOSE to be related to what they hint at

The show's hitting Netflix this week.
