I don't see why they waited this long to get the first season to Netflix. I think a lot more people would have watched this season had the first one been up before season 2 started.

DVD sales, from what I hear. If the first season was on Netflix prior to season 2 starting, I think that would translate to fewer season 1 DVD sales. Whether that revenue from DVD sales would offset the bump in ratings it might have received otherwise, I'm not sure. But I'm sure such decisions aren't taken lightly and researched thoroughly before a decision was taken one way or the other.

makes sense.. my only question is who the hell buys DVDs anymore when you have the internet at your disposal! lol.

I like owning something physical. I also wont pirate films, I respect the industry and art form.

Ive got a collection of nearly 2000 movies and tc show seasons....

To me, DVDs are more a status thing anyway. They're cool to have on your shelves so other people can say "ooh, I like that too." So Netflix wouldn't hurt my willingness to buy DVDs. If anything, Netflix would let me see a show I haven't seen so I can make the decision to buy the DVDs.

Having Season 1 on Netflix coud translate to a few binge watchers jumping on season 2 now. Maybe

one would hope. Tho Lady Sif (a German Hyper) Says she can't stand Phil Coulson lol MAYBE that's an issue with some Folks

I've never been a Coulson fan boy, don't find him interesting at all, but the show is good regardless in my book.

I've always liked Phil, tho lately he seems a tad more stern than he used to be.

To be fair, the guy *has* been dealing with quite a bit of stress lately - what with trying to rebuild SHIELD from the ground up (while trying to keep Talbot off their backs/get Talbot to understand) all while dealing with that ever increasing compulsion to carve alien symbols into the wall and fearing that he's completely losing his mind and could become a danger to his team. With that part cleared up (the compulsion seems to no longer be there), I wouldn't be surprised if we start to see a bit more of the old Phil creep back in. ;)

So glad I gave this show another go, I watched the first 3 or 4 episodes when it first aired and wasn't really feeling it, found it a bit cheesey and predictable to be honest. All this time has gone by and in the past week I thought I should give it a go, mostly because I want to see The Absorbing Man, but I have to be caught before I get there, just got done with episode 13 of season 1 and things are really picking up, I actually give a damn about these characters now and I'm curious to see where it goes.

I know a lot of people who have up after the first few episodes but I'm here to say give it a chance, like I did.

Let's hope so lol I miss all the quips.

We keep telling people, they need to go back and finish the first season. It took awhile to get everything in place but once it was the show found itself.

Question.. has Director Coulson really built up SHIELD? We got the bus and the quinjet but what else have we built? Seems like hes far from having the assests and personnel to call it an organization yet.

P.S: cant wait for tonight!!

He's recruited a decent amount of agents (seen as background characters in their new headquarters, working with Simmons, etc) and we've seen he's been traveling abroad to work out things with overseas assets (see episode "A Fractured House"). I think he's done a fair amount of building, taking into account the much more limited resources and relatively short time.

Plus, it would appear that he's at least gotten the US government off of their backs, given that they seem to be able to do undercover ops without worry of Col. Talbot coming after them.

Yeah he's rebuilding, I don't think he's done yet. Though a thought came to mind, what if they FIND this city and use it as a BASE?

More and more it's sounding a lot like Inhumans.

Holy crap Reinhardt. No one should complain about undermining the Nazi aspects of Hydra now.

Yeah, that's some Mengele-levels of messed up right there.
