The guy says he is having the tattoos done to help him 'remember' so it looks like that's the case.

Didn't the synopses for the next episode say a killer was carving the writing into his victims? I just assumed he's the killer and gets a tattoo for each kill as a reminder of each of his victims.

Can't pretend to understand US viewing figures - 4.44mil is good right?

I'm no expert, but I believe it's a solid number. They especially do well in the 18-35 male demographic which is really big I guess.

I don't fully understand the whole Nielson rating stuff. Is there not technology around to accurately calculate who's watching and who isn't outside of certain people having some special box?

I think they also pull somewhere between like 7-9mil total when they calculate in DVR type stuff (LIVE+7 I believe it's called). But again I have no clue how that's all done.

From what I gather from Episode 6.......Coulson seem to be have recruited or already bring in more manpower to the base........we now see SHIELD has a strike team assemble which did not show up in the first 5 episode.

He even had many agents around the globe under his command. I assume the strike-team either was on an offscreen-assignment before, or only served to guard the base from an eventual HYDRA-attack.

Well, we'll see. The moment the movies start using characters from the TV series then these will definitely be properly connected. At the moment AOS still exists in its own little pocket universe.

I do agree that is something that we need to see. Right now, it's all trickledown. It's great, I love it. Lorelei's return to Asgard at the end of that episode (hinting that Loki is the one bringing her there) was awesome. On the other hand, without it going both ways, it can come off as glorified fan fiction. Fun for us, but maybe the movies wouldn't care. They need to trickle up (or even simulated trickle up by having a movie character appear in the show before the movie airs, even if the movie scenes were filmed first).

The best chance is Age of Ultron. It's a Whedon production, it comes right at the end of the season, they've had a lot of time to plan things. After that, you can hope, but you never know.

Something struck me when I was watching that last episode at home. Those symbols ON A BODY look an awful lot like Captain Universe's costume. I know it's a bit of a stretch seeing as there are Diamond patterns in the AoS symbols

I highly doubt they keep pushing this "It's all connected" thing if they didn't have some big plans for the AoS folks at some point

I still think that rumor of Speedball might end up as a finale episode that helps start Civil War

Adrianne Palicki's Mockingbird should have a solid chance of trickling up into the films. She's had success on both the big and small screen, is portraying a popular charter, and has been terrific in the role. In a recent interview she mentioned tht the possibility of film work has been discussed, and her performance thus far certainly hasn't hurt her chances.

I would be surprised if there wasn't a crossover of sorts leading into AOU, with both Cap and Coulson's team converging on the same Hydra base.

Yeah she's been pretty good on the show. I wouldn't mind seeing her with Hawkeye somewhere

I hope so. I do. But the important thing is it's "if the movie wants to include her." They take the lead and the tv show follows. There's no real indication that the reverse would happen.

Palicki & Renner would make a great pair, if not for the fact that AOS's writers stupidly made Mockingbird Lance McPornname's wife instead. Bobbi's history with Clint has been pissed on just to give a made-for-TV character a connection to a fan favorite from the comics. That was an idiotic move which may well affect Mockingbird's chances of transitioning to the film universe. Her closest tie to the Avengers - through her husband Hawkeye - is gone thanks to AOS.

Palicki 6'0
Renner 5'10 (which is not even true)

Nope, he's a shortarse. We won't see them hook up in any way other than a Renner cameo in AOS but I suspect he takes himself too seriously for TV at the min.

Google says Palicki is 5'11. That would make her an inch or two taller. Not incredibly different (nor am I sure 5'10 is short).

He's not 5'10, I only wrote that because that's what the internet claims. Look at the photo, He's Tom Cruise small. Plus she has an extra inch or two of heels. I don't buy it, sorry.

You're just nitpicking now. My point was that these two actors would never have been cast if they intend on following the comic book love story, even barefoot!!
