They skirted the outright sale of film rights to other studios. Lol

Overall I liked it. It's the most thorough doc I've seen so far.

Vartha, there was a new shot of SW in slo-mo looking like **** was about to get real and one of Lang slowly walking up to the AntMan helmet and suit. They were short and accompanied by bts footage.

it was a good doc. they did skim on quite a few things though. but the origin of marvel was handled very well and very thorough

Not mentioning Isaac Perlmutter or Avi Arad was really wrong. Arad may be a dipwad of a producer and burned a few bridges but it was his vision of Marvel movie potential that saved Marvel. Isaac Perlmutter was the money and muscle but he was acting on Avi's passion. The publishing aspect had absolutely nothing to do with it. Without Isaac Perlmutter and Avi Arad there would be no Marvel today.

Anyway, I loved the documentary but my local news did bust in with election updates twice. I missed some middle stuff but only about 5 minutes total.

The cool thing was a long Agent Cater scene. Real Jarvis and Howard!!!

Plus a nice clip of Peggy in action.

From what I've heard without Perlmutter they'd have never gone bankrupt in the first place.

I think Ronald Perelman was the main reason? Taking the books off spinner racks into the direct trade, collector gimmicks, and generally poor comics etc?

Ah, you're right, similar names

Perlmutter is the guy in charge now, the one they said was rampaging through the offices and didn't want to see anythign Fox related lol

I want them to do a special on the MCU only. They only talked about it for 2 minutes at the end.

^

They did an MCU special last year. Or was it early this year?

EDIT: Got ninja'd by R_H :)

There isn't ONE Politan I really want to know personally these days, why would I want to hear about them for over 6 hours solid? lol
Me and my sister were talking about this last night (every time the special got interrupted for a 'special election report'. Doing those special election reports/interrupting programming really is an antiquated system - especially when it's not a presidential election year. If people want to keep up to date on what's happening with the elections they're going to be more likely to a) turn to the internet/social media and/or b) watch a channel devoted to the news (FoxNews, CNN, MSNBC, etc...), otherwise they'll wait for their late night news. I mean, it's not like anything can be done once the polls are closed anyways. Interrupting programming to say that 'so and so is ahead by .5%!' only serves to piss people off (as it did us - especially since there was a little thing at the beginning that said that the 75th special would be shown in it's entirety, but it wasn't. There were clearly gaps when it jumped back from a special report, and there were glitches during the Agent Carter clip).

*steps off soapbox*

From what we saw of the special, I liked it... and I'm glad I stayed up (though I am feeling the effects of it now *lol*). Do we think the chances likely/good that they'll stick this on the Agents of SHIELD season 2 DVD/Blu-ray like they did last year's Assembling a Universe special?

Also, I noticed Emily touched Lola!!!!

is there a link to the doc somewhere?
not yet RH, wish there was. There is a you tube vid of the Avengers and Antman stuff, but not the whole show

Still it's a bit of mishandled programming. They shouldn't advertise something a few days in a row and turn around and do something else completely

They didnt do something else entirely though. Your local network just cut into it too much. Abc still aired it. Its just that every local station chose to cut in on it for different lengths of time its better they cut in on this than the show its self imo

I hope Agent 13 guest stars , seeing Emily Van Camp on the set was nice and makes me wishful.
