Demileto, I'm super-impressed with your catching this reference

Well, this particular reference I can't take credit for, I saw it on Reddit (I think) so I'm pretty much just the messenger, spreading the information around! :yay:

and I guess it would be too much to expect a new character introduction as major as in that book?

We probably shouldn't hope to see any member of the Royal Family in the episode since they're being saved for the movie, but it was around the filming of this episode that Constance Zimmer was interviewed by Yahoo and dropped this intriguing bit:

“Somebody just found out the other day that they were something that they had no idea they were. All of us were shocked and I imagine, for that person, they’re like, 'Wait a minute. So that means that everything up until now has been a lie!’ It’s so fun to live in that world of mystery — as the Marvel world should be!”

I'm also impressed with your references to Phobos and Druid from Secret Warriors comics. As you say, the connections may turn out differently from the comics, but you're one well-read dude to make these possible connections!

Yeah, I checked a lot the Secret Warrior profiles in Marvel's wikia during the hiatus and recently bought and read all six trade paperbacks of the Secret Warriors comic book, so now I know quite a bit about them. The paperbacks were an amazing read, so cool to see how much it inspired the MCU: the three new generation helicarriers, HYDRA's infiltration in SHIELD, Sandbox and Providence as SHIELD bases, the list goes on! :)

I'm also reading it. It of course also includes Daisy Johnson, plus names like John Garrett. It also introduced Daniel Whitehall and Leviathan. And lots more.

Here is the warning about HOTLINKING from our FAQ -

Hotlinking
Hotlinking is when you directly post an image from a website. Many websites see this as you “stealing” their bandwidth and will sometimes retaliate by automatically replacing the intended image with another when it’s posted. These images range from simple caution messages to disturbingly graphic images. If you choose to hotlink and your image is replaced by a graphic/pornographic/inappropriate image, you will be banned. This can be easily avoided by re-hosting all images at a site such as ImageShack or PhotoBucket.

You're expecting instant gratification, when they promised a slow burn to the storyline. In all likelihood we'll probably get the fully formed Secret Warriors team only by the season finale, when it'll be needed to defeat a major threat that needs more than Daisy as a powered person to deal with.

Also, chances are we may get versions of the original Secret Warriors that don't have the same name as they do in the comics, at least initially, because they want to build them as fully realized characters first before actually revealing them as such and get them into the team, which is why I'm fairly confident that Werner Von Strucker IS their version of Phobos (similar look; has a big villain as a father; has a superiority complex) and Joey Gutierrez IS their version of Druid (again, similar look; wasn't the most athletic person until recently; powers are chemical in nature; known power resembles a feat Druid did in the comics, accelerate the natural decay of the elements to make whole Helicarriers be reduced to dust in seconds).

Hunter and Bobbi are very likely on their way out since ABC ordered a pilot for a show featuring both characters as leads, so probably not.

When I saw the promo photos of the Werner Von Strucker kid on the boat, my first thought was Phobos, and that was why Ward was trying to recruit him. When we found out who his father was my hopes faded. Hopefully you're right about this.

Here's the thing: Phobos' father Ares was too a villain for much of his comic book run. He was turned into more of an anti-hero in a 2006 mini-series that laid the groundwork for him to be part of an Avengers team, and Alexander Aaron played a key role in this. So yeah, it actually makes sense for them to give MCU Phobos a big villain as his father to replace Ares, as daddy issues ARE part of his characterization.

Isn't the High Evolutionary a FOX property?

Not sure if he fall under FF or not. He's another that seemed to be an Avengers affiliated. His first appearance was in Journey into Mystery with Thor

If the High Evolutionary were given to Fox, it would seriously baffle me. He has even less connection to the X-Men than Kang does, by quite a margin.

Ooh May's [blackout]ex is Lash[/blackout]... dis gon be good!

After what happened tonight, I would not be surprised. The ending with Werner von Strucker scared out of his mind was telling.

Exactly!
I'm loving this season. Good to see that they haven't let the quality slip.

Well, he could've just been scared out of his mind mixed with nervous excitement because that was the first time he killed someone.

Also, if Andrew was really dead, then the other Hydra operatives would have come out with Strucker, who would have had an evil smile on his face. Instead, he ran out of the store scared as hell.

Maybe, but if that was the case, where were the guys he was with? They would have followed him out of there, even from the back of the store as they would have followed the orders of Ward to follow Werner's every command.

It's Fantastic Four he has a connection too, not X-Men.

See, High Evolutionary has a place called Wundgore Mountain where he was attempting to make a new race (and where Spider-Woman Jessica Drew grew up). High Evolutionary ALSO had created Counter Earth, an Earth exactly opposite us around the sun from us.
Warlock/HIM came from FF, and eventually became Counter Earth's "savior" long story short. But Wundagor and High Evolutionary STARTED in Thor so he CAN be used in the MCU just like Scarlet Witch and Quick Silver

It doesn't really seem to be where they start - at least not exclusively. Otherwise, the Kree would be out.

Introducing the high evolutionary would be great. Maybe he has a daughter called jessica? This is who simons wants to rescue? If so marvel universe just got that little bit bigger. Hope it's true.

The team can go there and fight off some of his experiments.

Episode 7 is titled "Chaos Theory"

Episode 7 is titled "Chaos Theory"

Is that episode going to feature a housewarming party for Troy and Abed panning out in seven alternate timelines? Each timeline explored the effect of the absence/presence of a character on other characters in similar situations?
