So Hydra had infiltrated the World Security Council as well?

We're getting the Secret Warriors early? Because "team of Inhumans" implies more than just Lincoln (and maybe Ginger Ninja) showing up.

It might be just Daisy, Lincoln, Alisha, and Joey. I think that's enough to count as a (small) "team of inhumans" (and Mack might an added human team member).

HYDRA is everywhere. At least two members of the Council were HYDRA, Gideon Malick and Alexander Pierce.

Well that is true. Wesley Snipes even mentioned them in The Player recently. :o

we need the Netflix series' mentioned at least once

Mentioned in Agents of SHIELD, but I often wonder if the TV shows could get away with name-dropping references when the movies can't (because, until the recent deal, Fox didn't technically have the TV rights to the X-Men, Marvel just wasn't allowed to torpedo their movie rights by making a TV show).

Well in Jessica Jones I wondered why she didn't mention the Avengers' names. In one episode she says "Green Guy" and "Flag Waver" not Hulk and Captain America and it IS a Marvel Studios production unless it has to do with some rights to ABC.

Keep forgetting to show you guys the logo of this Barber shop here in the office building the college is at
kind of HYDRA-ish

Who gets their hair cut at a place with a skull and crossbones on the window? That's basically saying your jugular is fair game.

It also goes back to Daredevil season one. Only Captain America is mentioned by name. If you remember, Wesley says "playboy billionaire in an Iron suit and a man with a giant hammer."

The Netflix shows and Agents of SHIELD are produced by ABC Studios and by Jeph Loeb.

Loeb says that "it's all connected" but there has been zero legitimate evidence of that and "Green Guy," "Flag Bearer," "Playboy Billionaire" and "Man with giant Hammer" is not legit evidence. Legit evidence would actually be mentioning the Avengers by name....Captain America, The Hulk, Thor, Iron Man.

Yet with Agents of SHIELD, the MCU references are everywhere. Not so much for season three, although Coulson did name drop "Pym" in the season premiere I think. There's also still HYDRA, who I think remains a key player in Cap: Civil War with Crossbones and Zemo.

If Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Defenders continues on without mentioning a single MCU character by their names, the chances of seeing Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, Jon Bernthal (if he survives Daredevil Season 2), Elodie Yung, Rachael Taylor, Simone Missick and whoever they cast as Iron Fist even in cameos (ie a news report about the Defenders fighting Thanos' forces on the ground because we'll know he'll have ground forces) for the next two Avengers movies, chances are there is a 0% chance of seeing any of them, even in cameos via the news report I mentioned. I don't think time is running out, but I think time is tight. The ground forces for the next two Avengers movies will not be any of the heroes introduced via Netflix in cameos. I can see the ground forces being these guys:

Nick Fury:

Maria Hill:

Ant Man:

Sharon Carter:

And of course, Spider-Man

And if any team cameos via that news report, it'll probably be the Secret Warriors.

I think Carol will be fighting Thanos' forces in the air (ie. Cosmos).

Why would she? It's obvious who she's talking about, right? Superheroes can have a lot of nicknames.

Again, it's obvious who they're talking about. Also, the show is about Jessica Jones, not about the Avengers. There is no need for mentioning them just for the sake of mentioning them.

.
Hulk's name and picture is here in Daredevil:

And Captain America is mentionned by name in Daredevil.

It is connected, and they don't need to be in the movies, they can live their own adventures.

Daredevil wasn't mentioned by name in jessica jones. Does this mean they are not connected?

Just enjoy the stories. It will be up to the makers how connected they make them. Think the films are going too far now with hulk appearing in thor etc... Just make good films.

I'm kinda half and half.

For me the Netflix series are only pissing me off in one respect. No Avengers tower. That's a pretty big noticable screw up they are having in terms of connectivity/continuity.
Both seasons so far are set after Avengers and before AoU. So Avengers tower should be there instead of the Metlife building. Buildings don't move and they certainly go back and forth between Metlife - Stark tower -Avengers tower - Metlife - Avengers tower - Metlife etc etc.

Now most of you don't notice it. Some of you do and just don't care. But to me, the continuity they have been building up for years and been pretty damn good with so far is just being flushed away by this. Even if they just refrained from showing that location throughout the series it would be a huge improvement. We'd not see it, but we also wouldn't see the place where it's supposed to be and be shown the former building instead.
And I know, it takes time and money to add the tower in the background. But I honestly don't think it's enough money to throw away continuity. They already have the model of the tower from AoU and for the few shots they have in Daredevil and JJ, it shouldn't be too much to render...

It's my biggest grip with the connectiveness of the netflix shows.

Shield also did this but it was literally only a 3 second shot so it irked me but I could play it off as a goof. But when your characters live in NY and we constantly see the tower...not there....it's just a kick in the balls to me.

Shields connectiveness to the movies I think is better. Shield are busy dealing with the Inhumans and Lash and Hydra. The Avengers aren't, they were working as a team taking down other Hydra factions and then dealing with Ultron and then rebuilding and training a new team. I liked how they retroactively made Coulson the catalyst in finding Lokis sceptre and setting the events of AoU in motion. That felt good. However it'll be another mistep if the ATCU isn't mentioned at all in CW....for christs sake, the president made a speech on how people were turning into alien hybrids and were dangerous and he assembled the ATCU to combat it. This is a BIG thing, and in civil war if you have all this chat about superhumans registaring and working for the government or keeping tabs on them and accountability it's moronic not to address the increasing number of people popping up with powers, hell, as a new subspecies.

Currently I don't think the netflix shows need addressed in the movies so far, but it'd be a bonus to mention a rise in vigilantes in NY or something. Nothing even as big as a cameo, just one line.

In Jessica Jones the only other 'referance' that was weird was just Cage saying "the green guy and his crew". Just say THE AVENGERS. That is the superhero team name, they are referred to that many times in the media and in passing like that. It's not a big deal to say the name. Jessica saying "the big green guy or the flag waver" worked cause she was pissed, it fits with her character and she was being blamed for these guys destruction and collateral damage. It worked there, but not for Cage.

Also saw people complaining that nobody believed Mind control in this world where aliens and super powers exist etc etc. But seriously, of course there'd be skepticsm, of course you'll need to prove it. Imagine the amount of people who could then blame their actions on being mind controlled but there being a huge lack of evidence....

Daredevil not being mentioned by name was fine. We had Claire there, we had enough allusion to him and what he is doing. It was better for Claire to tell Jessica that she had a friend who could help but not namedrop him. You shouldn't go around advertising you know Daredevil cause that could get you in some **** and Claire had just met them....
