Joss has changed his language on stars being on the show. Before it was like it would be nice if it happened but we don't know. Now it really sounds like it could/will happen at some point.

That is good to hear. I always figured they would get some of them, it is just too good of an opportunity to cross promote both the series and the movies. Nice to hear that it is something they are very open to doing.

I can almost taste a Daredevil, Cloak and Dagger, or Runaways show coming spinning out of Agents of SHIELD (like how they're doing the Once Upon A Time spin-off). I'd say after the second season of SHIELD if not sooner.

I totally agree. I like that Disney is acknowledging the potential. Of the ones you mention, Daredevil is easily at the top of my list. I've been pining for a DD tv show for a long time! (Ever since I watched "Trial of the Incredible Hulk"!! :daredevil )

Nice poster. Really getting excited for this show. Read an article yesterday that the pilot episode references all of the Avengers at one point or another and also drops a reference to Spider-Man. Also, loving what I am hearing about more Marvel on TV, Daredevil seems like a lock to get a spinoff show.

Can anyone confirm this? Would this mean that Marvel owns the TV rights to Spider-man?

Daredevil needs more love and media exposure, really. I loved his guest appearances in the old FF cartoon and Spider-man. *sigh* if only they didn't cancel the PS2 game. :/

While I love any chance to see Spidey on screen, it doesn't make sense for him to have his own show. It would be too much of a tease to know that he could never be in an Avengers movie (not to mention that it would be hard to explain his absence all the time in said movies).

They don't actively reference Spidey in the pilot, just throw in a twist on [blackout]the famous "responsibility" quote[/blackout].

....but That's been used even in films and tv not remotely close to Marvel or Disney

Tom Hiddleston Open to Appearing on ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’
After the “Hollow Crown” session, the TCA couldn’t help ask Hiddleston if he would be open to reprising his Thor and Avengers role of Loki in an episode of the “S.H.I.E.L.D.” series. Whedon told us yesterday that he would consider asking Marvel movie stars to do episodes if it makes sense for the story. Hiddleston agreed.

“It would be something that would depend upon script and story but yeah, of course,” said Hiddleston..

That would be awesome seeing Loki in SHIELD. But then if he is there, Thor would probably show up, or at least another Asgardian like Sif or Chuck Fandral since the SHIELD agents couldn't handle him alone. But he couldn't really just show up for a minor story. Would have to be something quite epic to warrant that.

Of course, he would have history with Coulson, so Loki would definitely be someone who could feature, especially if they want to explain Coulson's death in more detail.

It would be cool to see Loki be the cause of some super-powered baddies. He's responsible for some of Thor's earliest Earthbound foes (the Wrecker/Wrecking Crew, Absorbing Man, er.... Sandu the Magician).

Hiddleston/Loki doesn't have to be a main antagonist, he can just cause some mustache-twirling mayhem from his prison cell in Asgard by suping up some mortals to get in Coulson's hair.

Hey, maybe we'll get to see him turn a city block into candy and ice cream :oldrazz:

I know. That was my point - that people shouldn't get excited or read too much into the Spidey "reference."

Bringing Loki in to create some of the villains he's associated with would be brilliant. Creating the Wrecking Crew (enchanted crow bar and all) would allow him to use them to wreak havoc on Earth from afar. But if they're going to have Hiddleston appear on the show at all it would be a wasted opportunity if he never interacted with Agent Coulson and his crew. After all, Loki is the one who dispatched poor Phil to the great beyond, albeit temporarily. The two of them need to have some sort of face to face confrontation if the Asgardian is going to make an appearance.

(Wouldn't it be wild if, at the end of an episode, Coulson is alone in a room and Loki suddenly appears behind him, scepter in hand? That would freak everybody out, Phil most of all.)

Looks like they're screening the pilot at D23 this weekend. Anyone going?

Great point, I agree.

It could even just be Loki's astral projection, messing with ol' Phil.

Anyway, even if we don't get to see Loki, I would love it if there are some Asgardian mcguffins around that Fitz & Simmons are unable to explain with science. Norn Stones would be good, or even something made up for the show. That would be a good episode to air right before Thor starts.

This is just piggybacking off of the success of The Dark Knight Rises.

I think sawyer's signature perfectly illustrates my thoughts at this moment. F***ity bye. Judging by his other posts I'm thinking this guys nothing but a troll.
