It was at this point in the episode that it was clear that this was just another amazing property from Joss Whedon, and that his stamp of wit, humor, and action is all over Agents of SHIELD.

Let's hope that this applies to everything except early cancellation.

The network actually treating it like they give a **** about it already makes that seem less likely.

Its awesome seeing the crowd respond to Clark Gregg like that. Who would have thought after 3 short scenes in iron Man that he'd ever be this popular?

Why you gotta go jinxing it? :cmad:

Seriously, though, this is ABC/Disney, not Fox. The studio/media conglomerate has a lot more invested in the show than Murdoch's empire ever had in any of Whedon's other efforts. The fact that the chairman of Disney himself suggested that ABC develop a SHIELD show speaks to the company's interest in creating an integrated TV/film universe. It's a certainty that ABC will do whatever it can to launch the show well and keep it afloat.

I KNEW IT!!!! As soon as I saw that Car I figured it had to be seeing as the one scene had a guy in flight gear coming up to it

hee, no jinxies!

I'm aware we aren't dealing with Fox. In fact it may very well be out of ABC's hands.

This is what tipped me off, way back when the trailer debuted:

How could Phil's delicate Lola get out into that field with no road in sight? Nobody in their right mind would drive a low-slung, classic Corvette off-road like that. :cwink:

So I'm glad they def. went the LMD route instead of ruining the gravity his death played in the Avengers

There IS a dirt road right behind the car tho lol

Wait where does it say THAT? Is he an LMD NOW? or an LMD was killed?

NEVER mind found it

Pretty positive he's the LMD.

No reason they wouldn't tell him that one of his LMD's was killed by Loki

Well, it makes total sense tho, I mean like I said before the Destroyer gun was untested tech and I'm sure they wouldn't allow one of SHIELD's highest ranking Agents put himself in harm's way. I mean look how many time Fury's used an LMD in the comics lol

By why would Hill say "He must never know" about his death?

Why would it matter if an LMD was killed?

Or I might be reading your post wrong, are you saying you think it WAS an LMD that Loki killed and that this Coulson is the real one?

From the RECAP linked earlier

We go on to find out that Nick Fury faked Coulson’s death in order to bring the clan of superheroes now known as the Avengers together to save the planet. Coulson was sent to a grass shack in Tahiti, where he got a little time off, but he is now more than happy to be back on the job.

Yeah the Coulson killed was an LMD.
Another reason I think it was an LMD Coulson AND the Destroyer gun could be just PART of that Tech. The LMD could be the Energy supply for the Gun, like the body of the Destroyer was the container for THAT tech

But a direct quote from the pilot has Hill replying to someone questioning his death "He must never know"

Why would she say this if he's still a perfectly healthy human Coulson?

I doubt it's about Fury faking his death since it would be pretty much common knowledge to a top SHIELD spy
