Ruth Negga has booked a recurring arc on ABC’s new superhero series Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. No intel on her role, which is the Irish actress’ first U.S. TV role. Her credits include the features All Is By My Side, Una Vida and Noble and the UK series Love/Hate, Secret State and Misfits. Negga is with ICM Partners, Principal LA and Jonty Brook in the UK.
well shes "safe" for american viewers. :whatever:

I also want to see Daniel Rand & Luke Cage, (I think like everyone else does) in Agents of Shield. ABC can do something along the lines of what the WB is doing for the Flash with Arrow, where he will be part of that show before spinning off into his own series. Thinking of a Heroes for Hire TV Show just puts a tear in my eye.

I said this on another comic board, but again, this is a very smart way to use the show...You can create the origins for SEVERAL heroes and villains.

If they're going to have Count Nefaria, then they also need his daughter, Madame Masque, along with the Maggia.

Exactly! A pre-superduper powered Count Nefaria can give SHIELD and even some guest heroes all kinds of havoc to deal with, add Madame Masque and the Maggia and theres tons you can do with all that.

Get someone really charismatic for the Count though, And hopefully we would get to see where they amp him up to where it takes a ton of heroes to fight him along with SHIELD.

For hero's I wouldn't mind if Mockingbird made an appearance or two. Heck she could team up with Hawkeye for a couple episodes and that would be tops.

I said this from the beginning as well, Mockingbird is a serious no-brainer, she was always a SHIELD agent from the start. They GOTTA have her on the show at some point!

Again, you take the words out of my mouth, Heroes for Hire would be great!

I actually think its likely we will see Graviton. The important thing to remember is that power differential doesn't matter if your not beating him power to power. Sure, even if his gravity powers are "only" on a magnitude with movie Magneto, you can't overwhelm him, but if your going to be fighting him with deception, indirection, and technical trickery, that won't matter.

The bigger issue is making sure that Graviton wouldn't logically be something where all kinds of Avengers would show up.

As much as id love Monica on the show..... Ruth looks more Indian than African...... Which would really bother me

I definitely think we'll see Graviton. I mean, just read the synopsis:
"The Asset" – When the brilliant scientist, Dr. Franklin Hall, is kidnapped, Agent Coulson and his S.H.I.E.L.D. agents must race against the clock to locate him. Skye is their only way in--pushing the team to their limits when the entire plan turns upside-down--on "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."
That's some obvious word play there.

I don't think we'll see Graviton until further down the line. When Ian Hart was announced it was said he would have a recurring role. Betting he shows up here and there, helping the agents out with science stuff, before eventually becoming Graviton.

I hope they're wrong. It would be extremely disappointing if she were playing Monica.
Why? I think Monica is the type of character you can introduce in a TV show and not worry about it. If the audience really likes her then they can easily put her in an Avengers film somewhere down the line as well.

They could have Franklin's accident here. Then he develops his powers in a future episode. The he becomes a villain later on. Also, you could make his powers like movie Magneto visually, maybe somewhat stronger. That would get the point across and would be relatively easy to do.

Is the guy on the right playing Hall ?

Yeah she does, and I hope they're not going to change Monica's ethnicity for the sake of it. But Ruth could just be a civilian or non comic book character.

Thanks

Good casting imo

I hope he has hair though. I don't want to start seeing a bald Graviton in the comics just because that's the way he's appeared in live action. In A:EMH Graviton even had long hair.

I see that they've cast actor Ian Hart as Franklin Hall. Never heard of him personally but I looked up some photos of him on Google.

Ian Hart is probably best known for playing villain Professor Quirrell in the first Harry Potter film.
