Show has gotten really good since the break. It finally picked up pace and has its own identity. I think it is kinda sad that it is now out of all times when it starts airing less frequently. We had 2 episodes, then a break for 2 weeks, then one episode and now a break for a whole month. Then again, this shouldn't be a surprise. This is just Marvel's status quo. When a TV show is good, we must do everything we can to work against it.
Saw the episode last night. It was great. The show really does just keep getting better and better.
I thought Fitz and Skye were the biggest badasses of this episode. Also, Fitz should always do an American accent. It makes him sounds ten times more cooler. There wasn't a single trace of confidence-lacking in his voice.
I wish they did more with Simmons. Up until now, she has been mostly comic relief. Even in this episode, every single member of the team had a decent amount of Simmons scenes while Simmons is mostly there just for comedy (other than the ending).
The ending with Ward confused me a bit. I didn't understand what the whole meaning behind that scene with May was. When he says "I'm not blaming myself" and stares at May, is the show implying that he's blaming May? His relationship with May? I didn't get that. I would like to hear people's thoughts.

It was Cybertek not StarkI heard someone spotted a Stark Industries label on Mike's cyborg shoe on his cyborg leg. Is this true?

F**k the Olympics. We have those way too often.
I know it was a joke.It was Cybertech not Stark
I think May's escape must have been the best action sequence in the entire season so far. I need more of that stuff.
No, I don't think he's blaming May. I think he's blaming Coulson. The ending with Ward confused me a bit. I didn't understand what the whole meaning behind that scene with May was. most shows are taking about a month break for the Olympics.....![]()
).Which is a false statement. Most shows are staying on air or get moved to a different time. Maybe they would be put on pause for a week or two, but rarely for the whole event (yes, I'm aware that you're being sarcastic but I wanted to point that out anyways).
It's not surprising coming from Marvel's television medium. I honestly think they suck at making tv shows more than DC sucks at making movies. At least DC doesn't want its films to fail; their shortcomes come from their lack of faith, interest, and investment in the characters. On the other hand, Marvel has almost made it clear that they don't want good shows. More specifically Loeb and Man of Action, with a touch of Quesada. They came out and admitted they prefer a more kiddish episodic approach to their shows as opposed to a more all-ages/adult ongoing story arc approach.

That was badass! There was an X-men comic from the 90's where Gambit pulled a similar stunt (only he a spike in the leg on purpose, which he them later pulled out with his teeth and used it to pick a lock with his feet)
I still can't believe how awesome that was. That was easily stuff that rivaled some of the best action sequences from Arrow. It was short, but so unbelievably sweet. No wasted movements. Simply quick, efficient and brutal.

I think the Ward fight was pretty great too. I was happy to see that he wasn't going easy during it just because it was a woman who he was fighting. He knew his team was in danger, so he got the fight finished as quick as possible and it was awesome. I like Ward, even though some people can't stand him, I think he's an interesting character who kind of reminds me of Robert Patrick's X-Files detective: calm, collected, yet there feels to be something more to him that's just buried beneath the surface. His scene with Coulson reignited my interest in his character, he's not quite the perfect agent he seemed to be in the first couple episodes anymore (he's much more vulnerable, just like the rest of the team, now that the stakes are being raised).
Have to say, in the promo for the next episode (14)...
...May beating the hell out of Quinn at 16/17 sec. mark..... love it![]()
This makes so much sense now. And recalling "The Well", Ward is probably projecting his younger brother (the kid who probably drowned) onto Skye, and his older brother (the bully who put him there) onto Coulson. Watch them make this connection.Ward is blaming Coulson. He's gettin' all emo.

But Coulson was a passenger on the carrier and not part of the crew.
"Just what I needed" Ha! She's so badass. Now I HAVE to see a flashback of that scene with the cult they've talked about.

(going just by the promo, naturally seeing the full scene, and in context, might change my view) I'm not expecting her to get anything out of him - I'm not even sure if she's trying to get anything out of him. I'm kind of just expecting her to beat on him simply because she's extremely pissed off for what he did to SkyeThat's cute and all but she's not going to get anything out of the guy that way. Quinn seems to be a lot more than Coulson and his team bargained for. He expected to be captured, expects the torture and isn't going to break.
