Hey if we can have Deathlok why not Wonderman?
But played by Brett Dalton? No way. I like Agent Ward, but he should be Agent Ward. Not Wonderman. I'd rather see someone else play Wonderman.
Apparently whatever happens is pretty extreme if it opens doors that can "fix" SHIELD. Perhaps there's some sort of cliffhanger that DIRECTLY sets up season 2, which would be an awesome incentive to watch for new/fickle/hesitant/uninterested viewers.A site called Lainey Gossip has a review of CATWS, which one of the contributors has seen. Presumably it was a rough cut, like the one Vartha saw last week. The review contains some MCU spoilers, but there was one for AOS tucked away in there. It's fairly vague but very encouraging. Ignore the insult and pay attention to what she said:
So yeah, Captain America 2 is pretty great. And theres a big reveal that general audiences wont see coming (and ought to open some doors to fix that awful SHIELD show).

There's no way of knowing what the reveal is just yet but I'm hopeful that there is something in the film that will tie Agents of SHIELD securely to the events in the MCU's SHIELD. Perhaps the last show(s) of the season will use CATWS as a spingboard for new developments. Read the entire review at your peril if you want to avoid spoilers for CATWS and Age of Ultron.
I really wish they'd gone for more of an Iron Man 1 tone. The agents all wore suits, they drove in unmarked jeeps. Something super heroic was regarded as AMAZING, not just the average day. This show is a bit too 'Men in Black'.
A big problem is that this feels like S.H.I.E.L.D.'s D-team. After seeing them being a very competent and top-tier spy organization, we are following a rookie team without a ton of charisma or sense of gravitas. My biggest disappointment is that I was expecting a Mission: Impossible level of competence and skill, and instead it's more like Agent Cody Banks.
This hasn't been brought up and it annoys me to the core: the use of background score in every single scene of the show is horrendous. Watch almost any scene of the show, for some reason they've decided on an aesthetic that requires a constant score which underlines in big, black, sharpie what the emotion of the scene is. If you watch almost any high quality drama on television right now, they let the words and actors do the work for them, and they allow the scene to go on in silenece, with music only punctuating instead of overwhelming. It adds to the cheap and empty feeling of the show.
I don't have an opinion on the score, but the cast/characters is one of the things that people tune in for. Contrary to your opinion on them, there's a huge group of fans that adore these people. I actually think it may be possible that people's love for Fitzsimmons has surpassed that of Agent Coulson.Stop speaking my thoughts! lol
Pretty much nailed it for me. The score is indeed terrible, and undercuts drama time and time again. As for the show on the whole, I know the show doesn't have the budget for big, big things but I still don't think it excuses it coming off as amateurish.
Honestly I think it comes down to a few things but most important for me is the characters. I still don't like them, don't buy them. Some bland writing for sure, but sadly I put a lot of the blame on the cast. Clark Gregg is fine, but the rest? Ehhh
Actually, no. We're getting a good mix. Three of the agents are very much top level, and there is no denying that. The other two are mid-level and are scientists/mechanics anyway. Skye is the only one that is anything close to bottom level, but that's fine because that's the point of her character. We get to witness a future agent train her way up.I'd be fine with that, but instead of a "top level" we are getting a bottom level of bland spies.

Nothing says Iron Man like a rusty, fat, ugly, silver suit that was built in a cave... Oh wait that was just the beginning stages of Iron Man.LOW AND BEHOLD!
Deathlok was a completely underwhelming piece of ****.
Thanks Marvel, you incompetent ****s.
Nothing says Deathlok like a cyber peg leg, some burns and a sweater.

..... You really expected full on comic deathlok in his first episode? This is his origin story.... Be patient
I believe the Olympics are starting. I could be wrong
That wasn't the point, the point is that iron man with that ugly gray POS suit didn't change the fact that we eventually got the Iron Man we were waiting for. This is Deathlok's introduction, be patient.Actually that was about as comic accurate an origin suit as anyone could ever hope for of the classic Iron Man suit
