It depends. The show is so much different now compared to the pilot, but at the same time, the tone is pretty much the same.

What is it that you didn't care for about the pilot?

It just didn't seem to have the typical 'Joss Whedon magic' to it. It was a decent episode otherwise, though.

If it were a non-Joss show, I think I would've enjoyed it more than I did.

If they could I don't see why they would want to.
For all the complaints people have about the Sony version the network version would inevitably look cheaper and would be limited in every way and it would just end up being embarrassing.

My issue with Spider-Man and AoS (or him in regards to any of the other MCU tied in tv shows that they're going to be starting up) is just that. They're shows are tied into the MCU.

Personally, I think having him (or even references to him) in the tv show would make it confusing to the general audience (who may not necessarily be aware of the varying rights issues) and have them scratching their heads and wondering along the lines of "well why doesn't Spider-man show up or at least get mentioned in the films when ______ is going down and everyone teams up?"

Just my personal opinion, with the live action MCU tv shows I would rather them stick with characters that at least have the possibility of being able to cross over into the films.

I think it is most likely Chris Evans, but there is a good chance that it could be RDJ or Renner.

Recent episodes may have that Joss Whedon magic you're looking for. I think if you allow yourself to get invested in the characters, the show will start to grow on you. There are a lot of interesting guest stars that shake things up.

I have this theory that the main guy behind it all is Dr. Zola who started it all. I mean who else could come up with all that stuff for the bad guys and what is there main goal finding the secret to SSF and study on people with powers like Dr. Zola would in the name of science. Now what does that got to do with Skye ? well how about she was created for one thing and that is to be a vessel for RED Skull in the comics Dr. Zola works hard finding a vessel for his boss which he thinks is Sharon anyway what if the reason there doing this stuff to Skye is because there getting her ready for RS to take over her body to Dr. Zola she is the perfect vessel for it! Only time will tell I guess.

Hope you're right. I'd definitely dig a cameo by Cap.
But would they risk letting Cap or Tony, especially, find out Coulson's still alive?

The thing with that is Cap works for SHIELD. Coulson being back alive has gotten around SHIELD, especially now that he is back on the job.

Although them being told he died could be chalked up to Fury being Fury. I mean the guy went to Coulson's locker, got his Captain America cards and dipped them in someone's blood.

Plus what are they going to do? Get mad? Them being told he died got them focused to save New York.

"I'm mad now because the feelings I had over Coulson's death got me focused, which then I helped save New York from an alien attack. Damn you Fury"

Yea, Coulson's been running around in the open for quite some time now. Cap and Widow would have to know that he's alive.

i am not sure if cap knows what happening in shield, he doesnt trust them, and probably wouldnt want socialise much with the personnel
widow would know that coulson survived, and maybe she has to keep cap from finding out
the other agents would buy the excuse of coulson dying for a few minutes, but cap wouldnt...
so unless fury told him the secret of coulson's resurrection directly, he wouldnt know

I liked Paxton in this weeks episode, hopefully he becomes a regular in the second season, he adds a bit of weight to the team on the action front.

I wonder what that floating blue half body might become, I'm guessing the drug may end up enhancing Skye's powers if she has any latent ones.
