Sci-Fi Alien: Earth (Noah Hawley and Ridley Scott) | FX on HULU

Synopsis: When the mysterious deep space research vessel USCSS Maginot crash-lands on Earth, Wendy (Sydney Chandler) and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat in FX’s “Alien: Earth.”

In the year 2120, the Earth is governed by five corporations: Prodigy, Weyland-Yutani, Lynch, Dynamic and Threshold. In this corporate era, cyborgs (humans with both biological and artificial parts) and synthetics (humanoid robots with artificial intelligence) exist alongside humans. But the game is changed when the wunderkind founder and CEO of Prodigy Corporation unlocks a new technological advancement: hybrids (humanoid robots infused with human consciousness). The first hybrid prototype named “Wendy” marks a new dawn in the race for immortality. After Weyland-Yutani’s spaceship collides into Prodigy City, Wendy and the other hybrids encounter mysterious life-forms more terrifying than anyone could have ever imagined.

I hope we get some Three World Empire stuff. Always thought it was pretty cool that they took the patch and expanded on it in other media to explain the historical and political landscape of the Alien universe.

Yeah this looks awesome and we are definitely getting more than just Xenomorphs being the main threat in this show.

I'm expecting a lot of cool hybrid stuff which they have obviously teased a lot of in this franchise before but I'm hoping they really go crazy with it here with other alien and animal species being involved.

Either way I'm excited asf right now.

I didn't love the trailer. It seemed a bit scattered and unfocused to me. The production values look good, though.

The Alien franchise has burned me too many times to go all in with this.

The xeno doing the inner mouth bite, I'm not seeing things am I? Does it look different than the traditional xeno?

So the research vessel is a Weyland-Yutani vessel. The city is Prodigy City, which I assume is owned and run by the Prodigy mega-corp. And it's set two years before the original film.

I just hope they ignore connections to Covenant, Engineers, black goo, and all that other nonsense because I hate it.

In the future, the main powers will be the mega corporations, not nations.

This is looking really impressive, I loved Romulus and this looks like another strong entry to the franchise, and the series format should benefit it.
